Not even thought about it, maybe middle of January when its a bit warmer. We are a little out there at the minute as around half the stock are moving to a friends house for him to breed from so need to allow time for all to settle back down after the move.

Here is a really tough question for you Welsh boys or anyone else for that matter lol A couple of Mardon Van reets bred 1st Welsh National/Combine in 2006 does anyone have any idea on the race, bird etc etc. The sire was 'Red Opaz' who was bred from Toey Star and and Regality The dam is Roxanne granddtr of Toey etc.

Agree Rodders there was one marked as a show delbar, but what about the one in the next pen ??? (today anyway!) People have already stated though that if you ask, he dont lie - So i think thats the best your going to get (not sure you should have to ask anyway) I looked on the birds at the stand and also handled 4 that were purchased before the doors opened on Saturday by a friend and there was a mega difference in quality - Any of them 4 could have come to me - The ones on the stand Ummmm well maybe not but thats just my opinion but i will say this IMO Jaaps birds werent the best there but certainly not the worst either.

Pleasure to meet you all, both Steve any myself never seemed to stop rushing all day and left the show long into the stands packing up If you can keep the grandaughter that interested then we defo have another young fancier in a few years time. All the best

Im going tomorrow to Donny - Be good to be back there after all these years.

The way Asha described it though the pad would be actually outside the trap, inside of the trap is fine though
-
I ended up practically giving mine away and i did actually give the perspex sputnik away (with plastic covers still on some of it) The wooden one was very simple in design, not that i would be able to build it myself but i certainly worked out the method lol.

I never put this thread on to get stupid comments about the man - I would like a little info as i noticed the advert and credit where credit is due, everything appeals - The crying shame is that the advert doesnt contain lots and details of each lot as it means people like myself have to go in totally blind however with illness we have to accept thats the way it has to be. Thanks to everyone for the positive ' On topic comments'

Thanks Interesting read - Seems like some decent birds will be in Wales let alone Doncaster

Tom is the Queens cup winner in the sale do you know?
-
Any info on fancier or birds ? Is anyone off to the sale on Sunday?
-
I wont say anymore on this subject on this thread at least as its Alans thread yet is being overtaken - (i dont want to jeopordise my 20 rings for the grizzles next year) ;) However it was also the Theelens and at Donny they werent marked as show theelens or delbars, anyone who has handled a considerable amount of show racers and racers and also the delbar and theelen families would simply know the difference between the birds.

Sorry to hear that this has happened to him, hopefully he will be found but i wouldnt hold out much hope of it. Hopefully lesson learnt though in regards to letting birds go without payment - Whatever possessed him i dont know - Yes if you know the fancier well etc, but when its at an auction ????? With regards to the show racer bit - I have put it on the open forum and if thats accusing of fraud then so be it thats what i am doing, not too suprisingly i have had several PM's on both sites regarding the birds at Doncaster dome and people agreeing with what i said. My comments are on the open forum and as such i stand by them 100%, lets see what there like this weekend. Still sorry he got robbed though.
