-
Bet its ebay
-
I guess you couldnt afford many of them Amanda, so Dave has had to make do with a push bike ;D
-
Yeah but he forgot to corn tin to coax them back in
-
lol ;D Duncan is def finished as a courier
-
Yes i nearly lost one at Doncaster a couple of weeks back, when passing over to Phil
-
Whats happened to Jordan - Wanted to send a Pm but he gone ?
-
The boxes yes but maybe not the actual system in which the birds can drink en route
-
I have seen the boxes and inside of Brians van - The system is in place for the birds to get a drink without fear of the box getting wet at any time and i think Blythy is right with being the first as i had some boxes from Pigeon courier the week after amtrack went belly up.

Would anyone on the NFC board know Steve?
-
Do you want another training crate so you can have more lol

We originally set our thing on having 30 young birds but i think it will now be nearer 70 to race as we have around 36 coming in. We have just redone the two young bird section out with 80 Pipo's but may yet be able to use the 16ft stock section depending on how many go to the partners loft. Out the 70 we will look to retain about 18 cocks and so many hens ?? I think we are breeding around 40 for others, either gifts, exchanges or charity sales.
-
I think there is a few left, mainly cock birds - We are going to get the final list done hopefully tomorrow and also the lofts pictured - free for collection
-
The nestmate is boxed up and awaiting collection today, which is upsetting as like peas in a pod and potentially the last two young from the old man.
-
Thought it looked familiar lol
-
I had it years ago but lent it never to be returned - I borrowed it from a forum member and enjoyed the reading of it - Without doubt one of the best books ever on pigeons and i dont think its outdated at all.

This an extract from a question and awnser article i have been reading on Ad Schaerlaeckens - Your comment just made me think about it - Food for thought maybe. Q: Dear Mr. Ad, If you say that most champions are products of crosses; can you please explain your theory or opinion in breeding a champion or an ace-pigeon? How would you rank the following- luck, smart guess, hunch, pedigree, size, eye-theory, left-right tail pairings, and etc. Would you explain> the basics. Thank you and more power. Yours in Sport, VAN A: Dear Mr Van, - Eye theory is B.S. - Left-Right tail pairings is B.S. Nobody will be able to answer your question. Why do the champions in Holland and Belgium breed so many birds, sometimes hundreds? Because they do not know !!!!!!!!! I just read an article of a young reporter. You know what struck him? That all the champions he had met admitted they did not know how to breed good birds. And he mentioned the names of Meulemens, Houben, Janssen Bros, Klak, Louis van Loon. You know what Adriaan Janssen from Arendonk used to say? If you have a pair that gave one super all those years they were mated then you have a super breeding pair. I know fanciers that have 30 to 60 breeding pairs. You can imagine how many babies a year they can breed. But I do not know of any fancier in the whole world, not even the greatest champion, who breeds 3 super birds per year. 3 Super birds per year would mean 12 super birds in 4 years' time. If you would know about such a man please give me name and address so that I can ask him to send me the results of this 13th best bird. What you should do to become a champion? Breed many babies, race many babies and eliminate many babies. After some years I advise to eliminate the bad ones, sell the good ones and keep the supers! Good luck. © Ad Schaerlaeckens Reproduced by pigeonglobe.co.uk with written permission of copyright owner Ad Schaerlaeckens.

I used White flight several months ago as he got a stray bird of mine in, so i gave him some work including the Jos Thone from Mackems - Certainly no fault from me - Everything as described.
-
An expensive lib though ;D
-
Nice to see it go to someone worthy, i would have gone Chris Hoy, Lewis Hamiltion and Rebecca Adlington for it - Its defo the right winner though this year - I have often doubted some of the winners credentials for it.
-
For god Sake if Duncan goes dont let him bring no birds back with him
-
14 days i think, but even with 4 weeks it would be cleared before Blackpool with it being that week later this year. I just sent this by PM for some reason! ;D
-
Thats a bit Harsh - I heard Harry Rembrant had sent his entry off for the Young racer cock and hen classes but some numpty lost the birds this week
-
Well done John - read something by Eamon Watson earlier who is a good show manm his bird had won about 12 classes inc being carded but didnt get a thing at the online show this week. Back in around 1998/99 i used to enjoy the shows and always used to take a chocolate Meueleman cock to the shows, but also a dark buscharrt of Geoff Clares - Every single show they were entered one of them won (Normally Geoff's though), Geoffs sold for big money at his Blackpool sale, the choco's eye was enough to save it as i couldnt get the young to a single race let alone in the clock.
-
Jason - I would happily support it with my 'Champion Show Racer' once he is here (JUST A SMALL HINT PC!!!) Also depends on the prize money if i am bringing the Delbars that far its got to cover my hotel, entry fees, fuel costs, beer, food ;D
