My clubs presentation is like a community get together. I live in a rural area and our presentation is held at our local club. Up to 150 people come to the presentation night for a 3 course meal followed by a presentation of the trophys and two sets of artists usually a comedian and a band. I think the most important part of winning anything is the presentation of a trophy in front of all your friends and family what a great feeling it is. michael.

I am using G10 at the moment but the best i ever used was Red Mills pellets but you cannot seem to get them any more. Main problem is the price G10 are up to £14 and the P40 are £17. I dont think there is any problem using pellets as long as they are mixed with the corn at the right ratio. I am using at around 25% mixed with the corn.

Yes you can box the hens up i have in the past. The main problem with boxing them up is that you have to keep letting them in and out of the boxes each time you exersize them so it can be quite time consuming. If it is to stop a hen or two pairing then you might want to just box them two up to save on time. michael.

What ever you decide to do get it OUT of your young bird section and isolate it. Personaly i think you need to get rid off it and disinfect your young bird loft and have the other young birds droppings tested. michael.

This year is the first time i have used a sputnik and i was supprised at how easy my young birds trap to it. I have always trapped to the open door but i dont think i will be going back now i have tried the sputnik. michael.

Three weeks smoke free today for me. ( 22 years of smoking) Im using them dodgy tablets (champix) and only side effect i have had is pains in my stomach but ok now. Some of the best birds i have ever flown have been reported as young birds. eg.. cwh 00wd 1601 lost as a young bird and reported on the coast. She went on to win 8 firsts 1 second and a second fed . She also bred my combine winner. I also had a blue cock that was reported 3 times as a young bird and he took bird of the year in the club twice as a old bird. Not all young birds deserve the bin because of a odd mistake. michael.

Yes me one full bulb of garlic crushed in a 2 gallon bucket of water with two tablespoons of honey (mixed into a cup of luke warm water first) and two tablespoons of lemon juice. All are left overnight. I use it on a sunday the garlic is supposed to clear the birds out and the honey and lemon juice is used in almost every cold remedy available. Just started useing this in the last six months and i also use apple cider vinigar on a monday.

Well i ordered a 38 inch sputnick over a month ago my payment was taken from the bank within 48 hrs . After 14 days of waiting i phoned them and was told it would take another week. I have now waited two more weeks and phoned again today and was told they are still waiting for parts and it could take another week or two. The guy on the phone did not seem to care one bit about it. So much for the customer comes first it seems to be the cash comes first.I paid a total of £79 and could have got it cheeper from other suppliers but because of boddie & ridewoods reputation i decided to use them.
