Lapwings still here at this time of the year just proves that the weather is a shambles We used to go on the moors as kids in Spring to look for them and listen for the distinctive "Pee wee" They used to buzz you if you got too close to the nest If 11 birds were killed there will be a shortage of Lapwings in your area next year but the Bill "Dodderies" of this world see no wrong, just look at the shortage of song birds I saw a Hawk chase a thrush down the street lucky for the thrush it was grey dusk and managed to give it the slip.
