  1. That wife of yours will be the Death" of you sentencing you to all that Hard Labour! you could have had a nice cushy job in the "nick" ;D ;D ;D
  2. I built two lofts from reclaimed wood from a demolition site and wood begged from a local building site. Spent the early part of the year sometimes soaked to the skin carrying wood and sheets to build what started off as a garden shed then caught the old bug and converted it to a loft, then built another. I am no spring chick so if i can do it you can, give it a go, only thing bought were the screw nails and felt.
  3. Can I please put my name in the frame
  4. Never tried anything from them but I suppose it all depends what you are looking for
  5. Bilco's posted on the subject, the gist is - with the red lights in the loft you can study the birds any evening (when dark) you can see them but they cannot see you. Invaluable when checking out how your birds behave after "lights out"

  9. Not being in Pigeon Racing for the politics I don't know how many different organisations there are in Scotland but I believe a lot of fanciers are fed up and have agreed to join the RPRA, or am I just writing drivel : : ??)
  10. Ask Jim George (Round O) or Bernie Bennett of the BHW, they have advocated it's use for years (V.T.). If anyone knows where to get it they will,Jim used to give all the details for a small donation to the local hospital (Ninewells I think)
  11. A Happy (and DEFRA free) New Year to all. I think it is time for them to bolt the barn door before the viruses escape again.
  12. The game is said to be run by intelligent individuals but sometimes totally lacking in common sense the only decision to be taken was the right one, all be it to late, it mocks the fans who have shown great respect. I send my condolences the family of the late Phil O'Donnell
  13. I also visited Patrick yesterday nice young lad and his set-up is first class and a credit to him. Not to forget Patrick senior nice chap, and a very friendly atmosphere. I was just wondering if it's because Patrick is on as a guest will he be able to access PM's
  14. Too True
  15. Maybe I am being too sceptical but I am not a firm believer on Internet auctions in conjunction with a saleroom auction I think all I am doing is setting down a marker for other people with my online bid which is then the starting bid for the saleroom. Maybe there is another way. I noticed on an other site well known fanciers are selling their birds online if your bid is the winner then that's what you pay, I think online/saleroom auctions are just another way of artificially pushing up the price of the birds and applaud these fanciers who give "Joe Public" a fair crack at the whip.
  16. A number of years ago (20+) I used Bobo's herbal remedies for the pigeons never done the birds any harm and still have the cards to prove it.
  17. Just type JSB plastics and click contact tell them what they want - I used to speak to Michelle
  18. Coey - try JSB plastics for the grills - very reasonable
  19. Chasey123 - Grizzleworld is genuine I have bought birds from him.

  21. Hi Patrick has the hen been sold and have you any Aarden cocks
  22. SHOCKING :B :B :B
  23. For a ball of feathers the racing pigeon must be one of the resilient creatures on this Earth outwith the war how many times have we had birds ripped to shreds for one reason or another home to their lofts in terrible physical condition and defy all the odds to fly again. Years ago I read of one bird that was in Africa with a famous General who set the bird off home with the news of a victory the bird was found dead a few miles from its loft after covering an amazing distance (BHW Diary)
  24. Guidio & Reno Van Sayes Leffingesteenweg 23 8432 Leffinge Belguim (Circa 2006)
  25. Nice to see that the fanciers on this site help both old and young alike - as far as the hutches go there is a very well known uses the same system
