Was gifted a real well bred red cock from Dave Delea to ad some endurance to my team and bred all reds ,pieds,mealys out the 14 I had I only have 4 left and they have been hit so as much as I like him a lot he will be going else where .

Great stuff that is why wee keep them . I had a blue pied hen here that came in during racing and she came from Slovenia ,I kept her all winter letting her out with the other hens but showed no sign of leaving but during the breeding season she would not pair up and sat herself all the time ,then one weekend she went missing for a few hours but came back then next day the same then the following week I watched her on the house roof and knew she was going to try to get home and never seen her again ,never found out if she did or not as lost owners details but shows they know where they want to be .

Davy is correct timing a good pigeon on the night from 500+mls will over take anything else you have done in federation racing and live with you forever . Times have changed and people have changed and pigeon racing will never be what it was so just enjoy it no matter what distance you choose to race but don't knock each other just because one or other is not for you . I only race a max of 4 races a year and the gold cup is my only goal and it's very hard to get pigeons that shine at the gold cup ,at start of season I thought I had a few real champions but most went down at their prep races and the others were not good enough. Percy has almost beaten me ,my ybs are getting hammered during exercise and scared to come out loft so that is the reason pigeons will never be the same sport it used to be .
