sorry mate mixed you up with someone else . no idea about ybs in the fed , no one said but i had it before the racing and did lose heavy in the first race , again sorry for mixup .
-
so in the three longtowns the midland fed have raced you have not heard of anyone with big losses , for me i am trying to settle strange birds to a strange area so don`t consider my losses as anyone`s fault , but drive down through the longtown route and see for yourself , but as i said earlier everyone is getting hammered . ask your mate mr gibson how many doo`s he has lost this year and he is not alone ,,omo of coarse .
-
i have 4 strays in all from differant area`s none with a stamp on , why bother as you say , when you send to the nat you have to cover it up lol .
-
I fly with the midland now bobby as you know they fly the west and i have had horrendous losses and so have my club mates ! personally Longtown is the biggest problem coming up the terror valley , and for some reason all the other members tell me stafford terrible too, but to be honest as your lot (east scotland /pentland)know after getting hammered yourself`s last week don`t think it matters now whre you go , tossed 8 today from doug`s garden and am 3 missing 2 of them were at 110 mls last week .
-
was told racing in the west was hard ! too fooking right it is , done well enough with my old birds (mostly late breds ) but the yb`s have been a night mare , between ybsickness and hawks (lost 4 in the last 2days around the loft )i am down 30 ybs and they have only been to 110 mls , can understand why so many pack up because of the fooking percy . i am going to fight back over the winter months . always look on the bright side of life .

7/10 midland fed appleby but well of the pace mind you jumped most of them in at 110 mls so no so bad,
-

-
ye did that mate and boy am i hurtin

I`m in the midland fed , at longtown on sat there was a lot of birds missing at clock check but not sure if many tell the truth nowadays ! me i got hammered but don`t think it was the anyone`s fault but mine . not had a single bird back since 12.30 on sat.
-
as a matter of coarse i think most of us cull some ybs but as mark gilbert says he leaves them so the flock get it done and over with ,
-
our transporter had 1 space on friday 25 bird limit if 1 guy sends 80 he uses 4 baskets means an incapacity of 20 birds next guy sends 70 incapacity of 5 so you lose a basket on transporter and so on . but i am in favor of it
-
you must be the only guy in pigeons that can prevent ybs ! i have and do pmv done cider vin done 2 days a week testing done twice before racing disinfect done virkon s and stalosan used regurarly i feed 2 kinds of versel laga and get matrix twice a week probiotic done also twice a week they should be in super condition but i still got the fooker and as for colostrum i tried that and it is as much good as the Jambo`s lol
-
this is a great idea but you would need a birdage limit as a couple in our club would need 4 baskets each .
-
i am big enough to say i have struggled with ybs this year , it has been 3 weeks since any of my birds have shown signs of it . so i sent on sat , the only thing anyone could say about my birds was they were carrying a bit to much weight ! i got hammered 3/17 home and they were fooked ,i challenge anyone to come to my lofts and look at my yb team and tell me i have had ybs . i handled a lot of birds on friday that were worse than mine . you can`t tell but honesty would help .
-
the biggest hurt is inside myself (i even told the missus) because i knew they were just not right ,
-
that is the lesson i learned today and will not forget it in a hurry .
-
I agree about the testing they came back clean but was told to leave them another week !!!, WISH I HAD NOW .
-
Virkon S works but as my last post say`s give them time to come back if the flesh is blue`ish don`t be tempted ,i am gutted that i was to blame for my disaster not the weather or bop ME . ps read brasspenning column in the homing world , even the best in the game get it .
-
well your info is better than mine as i was told they need 3to4 weeks after treatment before racing, i just sent them to first race and have 3/17 home and the ones that are home are fooked and was warned after testing to give them another week ! did i listen
-
sent 2 lost 2 think that means am oot , keep the flag fying colin .
-
