  1. Get it right Del Renfrewshire, lol
  2. Yes, rain could have changed the outcome.
  3. Flying further West than most in a south west wind at the time it arrived at , I think this shouldn't have been a day for the naturals but it beat most east of it.
  4. Cheers, it takes a big effort to beat the darkies but it can be done.
  5. The wee blue cock had a V in the tail when it flew over our heads and its neck was like a plucked chicken, gallant wee bird.
  6. Well done Billy, done it again.

I 100% disagree with compulsory phone in, if this young bird national was held until Monday, both me and my brother were working the full day and would have had no way of knowing our time let alone phone it in, this years 1st inland national would have been thrown out as both Lyndsey and Mark were both working. Until someone puts up case for better security then it's not for me, as I don't htink this would imporve security, infact if someone was at the buster Keaton, this information could help them. We have a legitimate means of recording a time in and think it would be hard to disqualify a bird just because of a phone call.

We only got one from 4 Robert, and last week we didn't get a feather from Mullingar or the Gold Ring race from Aycliff, hopefully some turn in tomorrow.

Whatever day it is there is some very strong winds sitting out to the West, here's hoping it stays out there. It will be a tough race into the West at the home end, good luck everyone.

Was hoping for 6 but after that weekend we may have 3
  14. Well done to the winner and all who timed, also all the committee and everyone involved
  15. Yes, the National next, gulp, this fills us with confidence, lol. I don't know what went wrong today, no pigeon in that convoy was fitter or more schooled than mine, back to the drawing board. P.S. We have enjoyed the whole experience and well doen to all who timed and to all the people involved with making it happen.
  16. Not a feather here, very disappointed, the birds were spot on, they should have been doing about 50 - 55mph, but when time went on we knew it wasn't happening, they must have went the wrong way, not good enough on the day.
  17. Thanks, Joan, looking forward to it
  18. Is there a chance of an earlier lib? as it is 200 plus miles, the winners should be in, but if it's a sticky one (which it might be) then they need all the light they can get.
  19. Is nobody Ln here going? We are sending three hopefuls, they are going for a mid day lib tomorrow due to the Saturday forecast. Good luck to all that send.

On PB, both Tam and Vince have the best returns and they are the only two to post on here, I'm sure they are more who had a great race, but there was a lot who had poor returns, we have 15 / 20 from Thirsk, we didn't expect 100% returns but was looking for 16 - 17, so not far off our target. As for what happened ? it's just another day at the office. (We have lost 20 birds over the last two weeks, it's not great, but it is what it is.)
  24. At clock check 2/4 4/8 16/40 30/40 45/75 1/3 1/8
