Yes, it can be stressful, I had the HR director in the audience, it was her that was running the session, but from the egg to the first race is a good visual for a non fancier, as one of the questions is how do we get them to fly home, thats what i chose, but it's up to you, 5 minutes isn't a long time, ( I was going liker a train) lol all the best what ever the topic you chose.

I also did it for primary school kids about 17 years ago, I took some birds along and put them in some show pens, the kids were studying birds as a project and after explaining the basics, I opened up a question and answers and this went really well and made my job easier. At the end we all went out into the play ground and I had a basket of birds and gave some of the pupils a bird each and they all liberated them, it was well received.

I have done it at a work team building day I explained from hatching to the first race for a young bird, it went down really well with the audience.

Just back from walking the dog and seen the a hen hawk cutting about the trees.

Hopefully down now, we haven't had any attacks from the sparrow hawk, we have seen it a couple of times and percy. We paired up the 3rd week in February and didn't start letting the birds out until the start of February, this has made a difference, last year we let them out in January and we got hit 6 times before she was down, so tranquility lofts.

I'm not shouting my mouth off, I started by responding to the statement that it was renfrewshires fault, and you seemed so hot and bothered so why don't you take the job as you already know all the facts. All I want is to race my birds and going around the houses isn't solving anything.

This should have been discussed at a meeting for all members and the facts would have been known so a decision made based on the facts.

It was never made know that we had a trailer available, again if all that facts that lead to decisions was made available then maybe we would have voted different. But no info regarding transportation, but a chosen few seemed to know?

If there was no appeals then we would have had no transporting issues as if we did it would have been mentioned, but after the appeals we had no means of catering for all the birds. Something changed and most of the members don't know what was happening as we have never been given the black and white facts about transportation

Everytimemail I said anything it got shot down, we have lost the use of a transporter, trailer and chyston, how is this Renfrewshire fault, it was Glasgow members who kept the negative comments coming. Stuart, Barrhead doesn't race the north road so someone is pulling your chain, as for not helping when we joined the fed all the transportation was done in Glasgow and that has never been an issue, the question is how have we left it this late to sort it out as it's clear this has been known for a while, also if no club had objected the we would be central.marking and everything would be tickityboo, but how come we had enough room before the appeals but not now? Remember we also got a hen back two weeks ago, lost at Leicester last year, she looks as if she has been is somewhere as she is in good nick. You wonder how a bird gets lost and can navigate the following year when the breeding instinct kicks in.
