  1. one more, 18/26, keep coming...
  2. 17/26, waiting on a few fancied 2 year olds, not too happy.
  3. Cheers for that, hope they are out in time to get the measurements, the SHU will be swamped with requests.
  4. If we are going to Buckingham in 4 weeks time how are the SNFC Committee planning on officially confirm this to ALL the members? Their is nothing on the web site and I don't buy the homing world or RP so do I get measurements for Billiracy or Buckingham? P.S. how many members aren't on PB who don't know this is happening? the clock is ticking. And personally we have been flying the first inland race from the middle of the country for years with terrible returns and the members voted to go east, I am personally disappointed we aren't staying on the line agreed, if we are going to this race point Huntingdon would have been a better choice much the same distance.

No point in checking the SNFC web site, it's a dinosaur, and hasn't been updated since man could stand on two legs.
  6. Good Luck
  7. You are clearly have no or very little experience of racing pigeon, so first off welcome to a wonderful sport and good luck, I would recommend racing natural to start with, this is when you pair the birds up and rear a round of young birds and race them sitting on eggs etc. This system will allow you to observe and learn all about the birds behavior and all aspects of housekeeping and general loft management, then you could look at other racing systems, good luck. As for the loft one larger section for breeding and one for young birds, a third for storing corn etc is optional.
  8. Hit the cross bar, well done Peter
  9. Hope your right Del, hope it wasn't wintered in someone else s loft and homed after a training toss.
  10. Good luck down the west.
  11. Hi a great night, the panel were first class, and the turnout was a who's who of top doo men, great location, great meal great night. Had a sing song on the way home, brilliant, a bit rough this morning though. Well done to all the members who worked hard to organise this.
  12. Morally Not really, but they are expensive and if someone can get the use out of them then fair play.
  13. Our birds have been locked in all winter and we have started letting them out over the last two weeks every other day, in total combining cocks and hens they have been out about 8 times and on Sat we found a stripped 2 year old cock in next doors garden, I had them out today, but theirs no joy in it, your worried all the time.
  14. Is it a sell out, any tickets left?
  15. This is a perfect description of how it all started, "going full circle"
  16. 09:00 - 17:00 does the trick

Well done to the guys who joined the committee, I don't know who all the candidates are for the secretary's job, but Gareth would do a great job.

    We will be their.
  21. Our Hen we timed in the Gold Cup last year homing into a very strong west wind and she is a "Janssen Sprinter", her family have excelled in club, fed and the inland nationals over the last 12 years for us, we thought they were just very good sprinters, but I have 3 Janssens in my loft who flew the gold cup or Claremont last year. I do believe it is in the management, preparation and the feeding (and very good birds).
  22. Yes it does get the adrenalin running the thought of waiting for a bird from Barcelona, but lets conquer Tours first.
  23. We would need to take them down into the nearest marking station in England, if enough went this could be a collective effort.
  24. I'm sure in some countries in Europe actually liberate at mid day for a two day race, but if your not in for day break your late, birds are trained to fly through the night and time around three in the morning, Lowik Bros are known as the night flyers. If we scheduled to always have a mid day liberation from the 500+ races, we also would evolve to get the bird to time in throughout the night.
  25. When I start getting birds from Tours them Barcelona, why not, If Scotland had it's own wee group sending to Barcelona, this would be a very prestigious group, all birds home would be held in the highest regard.
