Hi, I paired up the first week in December and hatched the first one out today. Got more to hacth tomorrow and then two more pairs next week. All in all everything is going smoothly.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will let nature take its course. Its the only egg that was filled so will not have a round from this pair then. Hard luck. :'( :'(

hi guys. I need a little advice. I have an egg under one of my pairs that has been chipping since saturday morning. I checked this morning and it still has not hatched and basically has not chipped much more since last night although it is still moving. Should i help it along or let nature take its course? Hi Tariq, I am very new too, I only started this year in May. I managed to fly a few young bird races. I have a 7' x 4' young bird section which I am hoping to get 16 young birds in for next year. I will be happy to race these few as the guys have said, you need to learn first. I dont intend to win any races anytime soon (and I probably wont either ;D) but I sure am going to give it a try. I only have a small setup so fewer pigeons for me as that means you have more control and healthier pigeons. ;D

I just put up my stock loft (of my own design) fron RV Woodcraft and I am very happy with it. Very sturdy and strong. ;D

I think I am on the verge of shoving a finger up "there" and feeling for myself. ;D ;D

The same guy also checks the pelvic area to see if it is wide as it needs to be for eggs to pass through it :-/ I have heard about the pelvic theory too but I checked my seperated hens and they are shut. Another uneducated guess but I think they only open when the hen has laid or is going to lay. I think I just need to wait it out and see what happens.

I think I will give the toe thing a try tonight. Was told by a friend that it might be a slow maturer. Maybe liking the attention but too immature to show attention to the oppisite sex. This bird was in with the cocks (paired up to another cock) for two months and nothing happened. So I am going to take a very uneducated guess and say its a cock who 1) Is not mature enough or, 2) Is Gay Thanks guys.

Hi, This is one of the birds that I am trying to sex. It was sold to me as a cock, its shacked up with another cock and I tried the pendulem thingy and it seemed to show it was a cock, I also tried it on Known Sexed birds and it really seemed to work. Hi Peeps, I have a bit of a dilemma. I have two birds that were sold to me as cocks. Both want to be paired up to other cocks but never lay eggs. They are also both 2007 birds. What do I do to find out what sex they are? This has me a bit "peturbed" to say the least. I just want to know how many pairs I have. ;D

I really did not find it hard to pair up my birds. All I did was put the cocks and hens together in a nextbox and left them for about an hour, all are paired up now and building nests already. Maybe it was just a fluke but I did not do anything special. :-/ :-/

I only started up this year and did not want to get free birds from anyone. I think if you want to do the sport then you should be able to support yourself to do it. Not saying its a bad thing asking for free birds. Just not me. Although I was given freebies and some people did help me out with cheaper birds, I did not ask for it but I did appreciate it. I was more than willing to pay for the birds as I knew what I was getting myself into. Dont mean to offend anyone. ;D ;D
