How do you lose your "novice" status? How many wins do you have to have? I know I am far off from winning but would like to know how far I need to go to say I am NOT a novice anymore. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Peeps, Very proud of my birds. Took 23rd place out of 285 birds. Poor birds looked nackered but they came home. Out of 11 birds sent I got 9 back. Hope everyone else had a good race.

Thanks guys. I even get excited to see my pigeons come back from training. If I do get a place then its a big bonus. Hopefully I will get all my pigeons back. Rose, I joined the Wimbledon club. They are very friendly at that club. Lots of beer and chatting. lol Hey Ace Lofts, hope you do well this sat, my are looking well and might give you a run for your money. ;D ;D ;D

Hi Peeps Well it has finally arrived: my first ever pigeon race. I am soooooooooo excited I could.... (never mind). lol. This Saturday we are racing from Wincanton and pigeons have been training well. Just hope they come back, nothing more. Good luck to all on Saturday. Regards David

If you look at his website he has them all on there. Cracking birds if I do say so myself. Got a few from him and I am really happy with them.

Hi Guys, Its a Junior T3 and the box that is currently showing is the one with two arrows. The plunger goes down slightly but not all the way.

Hi Peeps, I received my pigeon clock today (second hand) and I am really happy with it. One slight problem tho. The plunger wont go down to turn the inside wheel. Is there a reset button on it somewhere? Or am I missing something? Any advice please. Thank you

Hi I just bought a clock on line off ebay and I am worried its not the right one for the UK. I usually do this: Leap before I look. Its a Junior T3 clock but it does not say "Junior" on the front. Please advise.

Here is an update. Dunno if it was just a one off but last night the birds were let out at 5:45 and by 6:50 they were all in the loft eating. Really proud of my babies. Thanks all for the advice. ;D ;D ;D

Hi Ronnie, I have thought of that but the way my loft is built and the wire mesh in front I dont think that cats or any other predator can come close to the birds, or at least the pigeons wont see them. The other things is that it is only two birds I am having this problem with. I have a few other squeakers with them but they seem to come straight back into the loft. But the two 'bleep' 'bleeping' bird wont come down until the sun has almost set.

Hi Wiley, I feed them once in the morning and once in the evening and the weekend I starved them for a day and a half and let them out in the evening but they sat on the roof for a good two and a half hours before coming down when the sun went down. I feed them Van Robuys (Sp.) young bird mixture and I give them a half an ounce in the morning and a half an ounce in the evening.

I wish I could get my birds in when I wanted them in. No matter how long I starve them they will stay out all day staring at me from the roof. Think I need a catapult to knock them out.

I was hoping to just get maybe just 2 or three races in this year to sort the weak birds out from the stronger ones. What training would anyone suggest on Natural system to get the birds into gear for maybe the last three races?

I have just had my birds delivered and they were picked up yesterday at 9 so I am happy and the birds look ok too. Lets hope the one for next week goes just as well. ;D

Please dont tell me Amtrak are bad with deliveries, I have to send for a bird collection on Tuesday and I am waiting for a delivery today. NOw my stress levels have gone from "blimey" to "damn". :B :X :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Just a quick one (again). How do you take the picture of a birds eye to put in your loft organiser programme? I tried with my digital cam yesterday and I cant get close enough for the picture to come through properly. Can anyone advise? THank you David
