Hi Guys, sorry to just in like this but is it wise to breed young birds of that age? Sorry, really not dissing, just asking as I will be doing the same if it is advisable. ;D ;D ;D
Hi Guys,
Would I still be able to breed young birds say about the end of June? I have a hen but dont have a cock for her but I am getting one soon so it will take a while to pair her up and then let her lay. Is it advisable or should I wait until next year? :B
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the advice. At the moment I am guessing that is will be safe as I have a very alert dog. If she hears a noise she is out in seconds. I think the fact that there is a dog in the garden it might deter the fox from coming in the garden as I have never seen a fox in the garden.
Off topic: Today I decided that I will let out 4 pigeons and guess wot? Two have disappeared and two are hanging around on the roof. I have been training them with the tin and have not fed them since last night but they wont come near the loft to eat. Just started and already getting fed up.
Hi Jimmy,
At the moment if I got hold of one I would not be letting it go in the countryside at all. It be bouncing off the end of me shovel. I am a very forgiving person but there is just no need. :'(
Well the wire mesh was put up quite quickly last night onto the front. Cant even put poison down as I might poison my own cats. I used to think foxes were really nice but I cant stand the sight of them and when I am in the car and I see one run across the road I will try and help it into fox heaven for sure. Used to be anti foxhunting but now, bring it on!!!
Yesterday I was feeding my pigeons and one flew out through the door so I went outside and stood to one side to see if it would go back in and another flew out but landed in the church yard behind my garden and within seconds a fox had it. I am a huge animal lover and wont harm a fly but I can tell you now that if I had had a chance with the shovel I would have flattened the fox. I am really gutted and soooooo gonna get revenge on this fox.
