Thanks Jimmy, I suppose I do know the basics about pigeons still eg: Sexing the birds, the "eye" exam, etc etc. I suppose I will pick things up quickly again but I am afraid that I forgot a lot of information so will do some studying before I buy my loft early next year. Can anyone recommend a place to purchase a loft?

Hi Peeps, My name is David from London and am hoping to join the sport early next year. I raced pigeons till I was about 16 and then gave up. Well that was many moons ago and I would really like to get into it again. Can anybody give me some guide lines about how I would go about getting a loft and then some nice pigeons to start off with. Also do you need Planning Permission to put a loft up? I only have a 30ft garden and was hoping for now to get a bout a 12 by 8ft loft to begin with. Any advice would be great. Thanks
