I suppose I could keep the eggs but because I am a novice and have not even had a win yet, I dont know what the pigeons are like that mated with her. I honestly got pigeons from every Tom, Dick and Harry. I know I probably have some pretty useless pigeons (just one or two, mind you) or maybe not. So to be more sure I want to try and control who she mates with. I want to try and build a family from two lines and she just made the wrong choices being a young bird and having an imbalance in her hormone levels!!! ;D She mated (I think) about four or three different cocks (all from my race team).

Yeah I could keep the eggs but I am worried who the father would be as she has mated 3 different cocks in the past week. Like I said she is a bit of a hussy. Just want to be sure of the parentage. ;D Someone else can have them if they want.

Hi All, Decided to pair up this weekend as I need to throw away the first round of eggs due to my best hen being a bit of a hussy! I have 5 breeding pairs of which I am going to take babies from two pairs as they are the family I want to concentrate on. Going to use the other three pairs as feeders. Should I put a heater in the loft or will they be ok in this weather? Its almost nerve wracking for me as this is my first time to breed youngbirds for the races. I bred 6 youngsters this year in July but they have not flown yet. Just hope everything runs smoothly.

As I am new to this "sport", I just wanted to know if we had to have rings from our clubs or could we just but them directly from the RPRA? Thx

I would expect to see this kind of behaviour in a childrens playground. Not grown mature adults. If this is how a person gets treated when you come on to use the site then count me out. If this is not resolved then I am out of here. :-/

Yes Sam, I was using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. Its takes a lot of getting used to. Just sooooo many buttons to choose from. ;D ;D ;D ;D

No no one laugh, I sort of gave it a rough go to see how it is done. I dont think it is that bad for my first go, very obviously not professionally done. ;D There are quite a few things I need to figure out how to do. So here you are, my first go. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. I downloaded a trial from Adobe Photoshop last night and can I just say OMG. I did not have a clue what to do. I felt really fick!! ;D I have ordered the Coral Photoshop X2 so hopefully I will be able to learn what to do quite quickly. I took a picture of a pigeon on a V perch and tried to cut the pigeon out of the picture. All worked fine but because it was on a perch it kept on cutting the perch with it and no matter how hard I tried I could not get it right. Where do you get the pictures that you paste the pigeon onto? I was thinking just finding a sky pic will do and then just paste it on. Will have a go this weekend and if it looks ok I will post on here. Wish me luck, I gonna need it. ;D ;D

Thanks Dovescot, tried our local lidl but they are out of stock. I am going to Jessops tonight to try and get one. I have one on order but I am desperate to play with my new toy. ;D MIght post some piccies tonight.

Well I have my camera now but I am waiting for the "cf card" as it wont save any pictures without it. Odd, I thought all digital cameras had even a small memory. Anyway, once my card comes I will post some pics. I can some pics with the camera but they dont stay on the camera but you can see them for a few seconds after taking them. I took some pics of my marine fish last night and wow, the ppics looked absolutely amazing. Where have these cameras been all my life? ;D I have ordered a macro lens off ebay. So hopefully I will soon have some nice pigeons pics to boast about. ;D ;D ;D ;D

What programme do you use to create imaging like that. Photo shop? lol. I just ordered my camera from Amazon Canon EOS 400D. It comes with a lense but I am not sure if the lense would be adequate. Thanks for all the info.
