  1. Due to the fact i need room and i only house 12 pairs of breeders and i have a pair waiting to go into the breeding loft , we will consider offers !!! sensible ones only.
  2. TWRM, do your pigeons have coccidiosis or worms?? if not then why treat them? would you give your children medicine if they were not sick ?? think before you jump because your parachute may not open when you need it to m8 . the only thing i would treat periodically is Trichomonasis. but nothing else unless pigeons have been diagnosed. cheers spencer
  3. maybe not have the virus but if a pigeon becomes ill or sick , then first you must find the cause then treat pigeon and prevent history repeating itself.... is it not. maybe i am wrong but you dont treat, just for the pigeons to go and catch sickness again... from the same place!!!!!! yes no. maybe.. i know what i do and thats good with me.
  4. baytril is the bestthing to use. but above that where did your birds get the virus? it can live in gutters and earth for several weeks, so if they been picking around stop them.
  5. TAMMY our pigeon "champion Gabiel" winner of 11 x1st , 4x 1st federation , i gave him away to a player who i know will look after him. I have also recently sold a pigeon that has bred winner , also i gifted the gentleman the cock birds hen to go with him. she bred 1st club ,1st fed, 8th Amalgamaton winner , beside other winners. if most people only ever kept the best pigeons they have they would only have a handful of pigeons in the loft. and would lose less because the quality would be better. but not alot of people have the balls to rid themselves of rubbish birds. they would rather convince themselves that they will come good in the end.. well good luck. regards spencer
  6. TAMMY, all my birds have bred winners !!! but I dont Hoard pigeons i only winter 36 pigeons in total , no more no less. And if birds dont breed me winners they go in the dustbin (culled) not sold or resold like most fanciers do. so I can be rest assured that i only let good birds leave my lofts, not soup stock !! thanks spencer
  7. Hi Stu, I realise people dont want to pay what they are worth, I have just got some youngsters from belgium and require the room mate to be honest . I could at a push keep them but i dont like keeping loads of pieons , its not my way.. so £300 for the pair is what i would be happy with but they wont go lower trust me mate. regards spencer
  8. DUE TO FANCIERS INABILITY TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD £500, WHICH COULD OTHERWISE BE SPENT ELSEWHERE..... WE WOULD EXCEPT £300 FOR THE PAIR. IT WONT BE ANY CHEAPER AS I SHALL KEEP THEM RATHER THAN LET A PAIR OF DIRECTS THAT BREED WINNERS GO FOR LESS. REGARDS SPENCER.
  9. 10. inbreeding with pigeons is ok , but remember it does not add anything , it only uses what is already within your gene pool. before you embark or start with inbreeding, you must have birds of exceptional quality and performance, do not just start with 2 pigeons that are related. you must visualise what type you want your birds to be, big small or medium, their feather type , eye type, and overall appearance!! if and only if you have 2 related individual pigeons of similar quality and performance to conform to your type desired, then you can start inbreeding. once you have started inbreeding you must select hard and I mean anything that does not conform from the moment it is born must be destroyed or culled. so think carefully about what your about to do. All my meuleman pigeons are from an original 3 pigeons. my Klaks are from 4 pigeons, so i inbreed and line breed but i select so hard it frightens people when they realise what has to be done to maintain a superior family of birds to a high level. inbreeding only uses whats in your gene pool. and if that is rubbish oigeons then you will get rubbish pigeons. unless you know what you are doing read as much as you can.!!!! remember knowledge is only dangerous in the wrong hands.... do you have the hands?
  11. if you want to start well you must follow simple rules. 1. decide at what distance you want to compete. 2. look at results and find the most consistant player in the results, who has small number of birds !!!! 3. buy from his best birds, 4. listen to how he feeds and trains, 5, be patient. blame yourself before you ever blame your birds. if your not winning the fault will probably be yours.!! spencer
  12. HI TWRM, I dont feed maize or yellow corn , simply because my birds throw it all over and seem to prefer smaller grains and I feel its getting wasted , but if you feed little and often I am sure they will eat it. I do not feed maize, peas, beans, or wheat. strange I know but I only feed light mixture and thats what they get all the year, they breed and win on my feed so no need to change.!! if they stop winning maybe I will then look at my ways and methods, I do however feed my birds dog feed, Vitalin flakes.... no kidding or joking ask people who seen my pigeons. they will confirm this. it has maize in it smashed down into a pulp and dried which is just as good.. regards spencer
  13. maize or yellow corn as its known on the continent, is a good food for pigeons , but i do not feed it as that is my choice only. but best thing to bekieve are your own eyes and leave theory and rumour to others. regards spencer
  14. when you feed the birds give some small seeds in the morning only a little though, when they have finished exercise feed them until the first couple of birds go to water for a drink, then as time goes on in future you will notice which birds need a little more and which need a littl less. they are living animals treat them like you love them, not robots. watch them they will talk to you in many ways. hope this helps regards spencer

  16. two words to discribe the man stuart for offering these top birds to the forum... WORLD CLASS
  17. dear Aarden, isolate pigeon or dispose of it, as for the rest give them nothing , save your money and sit tight , they maybe ok, if they start being sick then its youngbird sickness. if sickness then give them plain water and hopper feed light depurative mix or diet mix and keep them in loft for 14 days, they will all then be over it mate. spend nothing , buy nothing but listen to someone who knows... the simplest methods sound silly but most times are the correct methods. regards spencer 07989746150
  18. its not the grit they want but the powder that is holding the pickstone together, look further than what you see. sive the pickstones put powder in one pile and grit in the other and see what they want..... you will find i am right. but will anybody learn and listen , doubt it . follow what everyone else does as most do, that will not seperate you from the also rans , just make you one of them !!! i dont feed grit and will never feed the crap. regards spencer
  19. the bird is going to suffer one eye cold, it will weep and be very watery, it is having to deal with moulting and has got a little run down after a long season. there is noting wrong with the bird. whats needed is a rest and patience from you and it will get over it when its ready. if you want to help it along slightly lock the bird in an avairy for 2 days or so but do not leave it out in very cold damp weather. also how often do you give vitamins ? remember the kidneys have to flush the digestive system , once a week vitamins the rest of the time plain water. too much vitamins are not good. hope this helps. the pigeon is a little less than 100% healthy but will be good soon. regards spencer
  20. Race pigeons naturally, but dont pair up till march and then you will find your racers will hold their moult. if your not equiped to race widowhood give it a miss, widowhood is not a new method... think forward matey.. regards spencer
  21. THIS PIGEON IS NOW SOLD !!!!

  23. hi people, breaking pigeons down then building them up , is very old hat. does anyone think beyond videos, dvds, books and actually look to see what pigeons require? my birds are fed as much as they want 2 or sometimes 3 time per day. they are fed versa laga energy plus, which is basically a diet mixture. this they get all year round and nothing else apart from peanuts good quality peanuts too. nothing else required, and my results are , I win 50% of races entered and prizes taken are 90% in races.!!!! good pigeons and simple sensible management win races .. nothing more. regards spence , all the best guys

  25. i believe you should stop all the battling guys, why no takers in holland.. ANSWER IS they send them here because the british buy them and some continental fanciers can make some money.. but also it allows their bloodlines to be tested elsewhere !!!! also if people are not interested in buying it , they dont have to. if people are not interested then , they should not ask the questions, if you want birds pay the money. if you dont , dont pay the money SIMPLE !! regards spencer good luck guys.
