Mate The biggest mistake you will make is giving up racing, people want to buy winning pigeons from winning fancier!!! Esp at the prices you are quoting!!! Hope you dont mind my input!!!! P.S. Hawk attacks are experienced by everyone, its something we all have to put up with!!! Hi Stuart, there is nothing wrong with your imput mate , it is greatly appreciated and from you to comment its welcomed. Yes stuart I agree to a point with you and understand what your saying in relation to selling pigeons, but nowadays most people buy bloodlines that win and everybody before my house move last sept has won with my birds, and i mean everybody. thats over the last 16 years !! if I could not supply birds of certain origin and of top quality myself , i would gladly recommend yourself as i think you do bring birds of top class to the sport. best regards spencer, Hi Bart, sorry i do not give my address out to just anyone, my name is spencer and you can contact me on 07989746150 .

I owned a son of the rode geplekte from coward talbot, he has bred some nice birds for me , i gave him to a friend . I have 5 chocolates in total and they are fantastic breeders but i also had to get rid of 10 that were not up to scratch shall we say. good and bad in all colours and families i think...we must weed them out and keep only the good..

I have recently moved house and have not raced due to hwk giving me problems , but I am opening a small stud of select bloodlines and have priced them accordingly , trying to keep the price in check so most people can afford them. I pay alot of money on the best corn there is and minerals and calcium supplements and other certain cereals just to rear top babies, I would only be guessing that for the first 28 days of the youngsters life until weaning it costs me about £25 so the bloodlines are then only costing £50 per youngster !!!!! this is very rarely taken into consideration , also my time to take care of the birds , also the ring the paperwork that goes with the bird and costs of ink and electricity to run the P.C to print the pedigrees all cost a little , so is this ever taken into account ? no i doubt it. I appreciate peoples opinion and all is respected but these birds are top quality , you buy or you dont buy its that simple. I do not breed rubbish and only ship pigeons that I would have in my own breeding loft, I have sent my bloodlines (pigeons) to Ireland twice , belgium, portugal and all over the U.K. thank you everyone for your comments and imput, I have also donated 4 youngsters to a young lad in cornwall who has had top results with them and he has never raced before. they were free to him. so i do my bit for the novices. best regards to all spencer

I know the chocolates race well also not just breed but davey is right , as with everything you have to have the right ones, but the right ones so to speak are not easy to get hold of.. we purchased ours from herman beverdam !!! in my opinion he has the best meulemans ( van den bosch) in the world !!! any info on meulemans call me on 07989 746 150 evening only please.

in todays climate people buy bloodlines that are not avaiable elsewhere and win. My birds breed winners and are top pigeons and I have testimonials to prove it. I understand my prices are not as some studs in this country , but I have seen what they supply and it is nothing more than street pigeons with rings on ... in my opinion. but understand fully some people do not have they finances to pay what my birds cost. in that instance they dont buy them thats simple. the price is set and will not change and anyone who is seriuos will buy the best bloodlines they can afford. you get what you pay for in this world and I am almost fully booked for next year already.!!! Our birds are close to the original foundations of their strains and have bred winners and satisfaction is assured to each buyer. the trouble we feel with this sport is that new fanciers do come into it and buy cheap pigeons , then they do not perform , then the new comer leaves the sport. we always help novices and experianced fanciers alike and will continue to do so. also the reason we have so many young bird losses in the sport is that to many madiocre pigeons are kept and being bred from. we at Timbarra have bred from 12 breeding pairs this year 2007, a total of 72 youngsters...... 59 are still on their lofts at this present time and scoring !!! We have bred club, federation, open, winners including birds to gain top 10 national postions as well as bird of the year award winners!!!!! so at prices that are quoted they are great value for money. wishing everybody kindest regards , spencer

Hello , due to continual hawk attacks we have decided to call it a day racing, and we intend to open a full time breeding lofts to provide fanciers with top bloodlines and quality birds. www.timbarra.co.uk visit the site and view our pigeons, we are taking orders for next season and deposit secures order. if you are interested in serious pigeons then get in touch. Roland Janssens price on application , parents will all be belgium rung and our Klak and Meulemans start at £75 each . Note our Rolands will be cheaper than £75 !!!!! all birds will be bred to order only and be limited in rotation to orders.

milton is ok in drinking water . follow instrustions on bottle der !!! fanciers were using it in th 80s . its old method time again i see.

firstly pigeons should or will only sit once the second egg is laid, secondly if the hens were trodden and mated with the cocks then eggs could well be fertile as the cocks semen remains in the hens reproductive system for 18-21 days after mating . regards spencer

each to their own, but its not a competion and if you can get your birds over it within 7 days invicible then great but that is then followed by 3 days multivitamins which adds upto 10 days in total and my way costs nothing !!!!! people make their choices and live by them regards spencer oh and as its a virus .... viruses cant be cured only vaccinated against and yet there is not a vacine against YBSickness... think about it... everyone .
-
for yb sickness, keep youngsters in the loft for 10-14 days give nothing but plain water feed in hoppers , light diet or depurative all day. your youngsters should be over it in 10-14 days........ its that simple. or you can give them everything that is advised and make situation worse.. its your choice. :-/

5 tosses at 10 miles 5 tosses at 20 miles 3 tosses at 45 miles. thats it. then 1 toss each week while racing from 20 miles and then you should motivate them, not on friday !!

May I say A pigeon is only worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it, in the pigeon sport nowadays you have to buy good quality bloodlines and then choose to enter and win with them, if they cost £20 or £2000, it depends on the individual buying and if he is prepared to pay the asking price, I do not know stuart and have never dealt with him, and i am sure he does not need me blowing he's trumpet, but if this man is willing to bring quality bloodlines to fanciers, then should he not be commended for this , I can understand peoples views on selling pigeons and the question of how much they are worth shall always be questioned. if you dont want to buy the pigeon best remain within your own boundries of thought. if you do wish to deal with the man , private message him and let others miss out. look after your own affairs and do not interfear with others. regards timbarra, P,S rose your chatting alot lately hope your well.

I have welcomed many people to my house and home, and they are always made welcome, i will treat the people who deserve contempt with contempt. those who wish not to converse with me , need not do so. its not rocket science. thanks for your non constructive comments. i happy thank you. ;D ;D ;D ;D

sold it privately, not to any one on this site, the guy has not got a computer even !!!! so dont stick your oar in when you dont even know who your talking to. ;D
-
schouwman, Thank you for your comment and as i only have a 30 foot loft and only keep a small number of birds on the loft I cannot afford to keep them all and overcrowd, its just not me, so i give people the oppotunity to aquire some top class birds for not such a high price, but yes if i had a section for pigeons i could retire possibly , then i would not let him go. but thanks for your message and advice , regards spencer

albear please accept my apology for calling you a name which is not true. i am sorry.
-
YES AND I SAID IT WILL START AT £130 , BUT NOT TO WORRY , HE IS ALL BUT SOLD.
-
TSKYES if you can only afford £100 then thats all you can offer, I not getting at that , maybe you could have possibly worded things differently , but maybe so could i. well i shall decline your offer of £100 and thank you for that offer sorry. ALBEAR my self and MR Barkel disagree on a number of things, so i would appreciate it if you did not go over old ground irrelivant to the thread. you seem argumentative and your way is your way. there is a picture of the cock on my web site for all who need to inspect him, as for filling he's eggs, there are no sure things in life but am confident he will breed if looked after wherever he goes , if he goes. as for having a feel good factor about my advertising of the pigeon, i am not here to make anyone feel good, and there are people on this site and all over the U.K and Europe who have delt with me and purchased birds from me , who are of a different opinion than the one you have. if you want to feel good go on holiday and enjoy the sun !!! Mark I do not wish to take a leaf from anybodys book, i am my own man and thats that. you have not offended me and hope i have not offended you either, did you not enquire about pigeons from me ...? maybe a different mark? :-/
-
how old are they.
-
TSKYES , you can start at whatever price you like m8, you will not be getting yourself a champion pigeon at that price. I sell he's youngsters at £100 each !!! like I said before pigeon fanciers always want something for nothing. :-/
