it has probably been taken in during the harvest of the corn, i have seen these things around my garden mate so dont panic, usually totally green but has changed colour to try and blend in with the colour of your grain, to avoid predators. it probably has not invested your grain at all, if you find no more it has been harvested in during the crop being cut. do you buy from a farm or do you use commercial mixes, my guess is its local farm mixture you use, its nothing just chuck it into the garden and get back to normal. spence

i usually buy . if the champion is a cock , i buy his daughter if the champion is a hen , i buy her son. its genetic hereditary quality which is the key mate. genetic should be part of your game when building a winning family and when possibly purchasing new bloodlines. basic genetics is a must nowadays i feel. cheers spence

mark , i gave a pigeon away that won 11 x 1st 4 x 1st fed , so your term of saying 'how many pigeons do you see with 6 x1st for £30 is not entirley correct, depends who has them offered...?? i truely hope you sell the pigeon, i think any pigeon to stat is worth £30, let alone one that has been bred as well as the one your offering. i think it worth probably more but people question constantly then you find out they not really interested. put in the paper would be best.. regards spencer.

it sounds like paratyphoid which is a strain of samonnella. the pigeons may show signs of holding one wing up. baytri 10% solution from a vet at a rate of 2ml to 4 pints is recommended and birds should recover, but i would not keep the ones that show paralysis. check with vet first is always a good thing to do though. but sounds like it. it can be contracted from picking in gutters and around the garden.

Well after deliberation and legal representation being sought, people who have had birds from me via an annonamous party and directly, 3rd party cannot and will not be devulged due to them wanting to remain annomous. Sheppard and Harris wandsworth who won 70 x1st in 4 years, with their famous van loons i know pretty well and Dennis is a wonderful genuine gentleman!! ( i bought their number 1 stock cock) they came back to me for birds after i purchased these. Mr Barrett formerly of H.M.P Sheffield had 6 from me and raced them while at her majestys pleasure, i was informed he topped the federation 4 times !!! with 4 seperate youngsters . mr and mrs Belchambers, Bought 2 birds donated at charity auction by me. and won with them. Beasant family, double National winners had pigeon from me which i was informed ( by second party) won bird of the year !! A.Barnfield, of Wandsworth 1st and 2nd 20 minutes in front of the next pigeon !!! 2 timbarra pigeons. Mr Thrower ,of Orpington, bought 1 cock bird from me which bred if i remember correctly 5 winners in 2 seasons and still doing so. J.Donovan and sons of croydon bought pigeons from me. Also a london fancier (remains annonymous) had 5 birds from me, one being 1st open guernsey, another winning 5x1st in one season.. this is not alot of pigeons from my loft as this year is the most i have ever let go as i am not commercial. it is usual very hard to get birds from me as i dont want recognition for any pigeons i breed ,just a phone call saying that they are doing well is all. so mr ALBEAR you have the information so now an apology would be worth saying do you not think, but i dont think you have the decency to give one.!!!! i was reluctant to give any names as i do not and never have intended to ride on other peoples reputations but small minded people in this site will twist things to suit themselves. also gabriel won 11 x1st racing in the catford and cumbrian for a mr S.Corps.... happy now . so now you have it.

Hi , i agree with doescot on the positive ,negative feed back vote on buyers and sellers, thats a good idea. i do think peoples opinions are important but as i and some others have found out , opinions can turn into witch hunts and give people the perseption of being bullied and victimised, persicuted and isolated. these are serious issues and i for one am not happy with how i have been treated of late, my options are being considered, i believe this site to be a good one, but something i feel has to be done to protect individials from vindictive behaviour of a small minded group. also people being ripped off when buying birds. whatever you vote does it matter now??? insults have been flung and damage done to reputations... should you not have done something sooner, why did you let things go so far.. its called lack of resposibility to your sites users !!! i have had disagreement with some on here and mostly i have made friends here, but ask yourself this why in the last diobolical debate did only one stand up for me ?? because the rest do not want to get involved as they possibly believe the baying mob will single them out next. what way is this to behave... ok i am not innocent of everything and can give as good as i get , but do i log on here to be goaded and insulted in an attempt to discredit me.. your the administrator .. you tell me ? how much sh** does one have to endure before you finally say enough is enough... :-/

I have been asked by albear questions relating to a cock bird gabriel which left my loft 4 weeks ago, why does he need information on this ??? i cannot give this information as somebody elses information would then be on the net and i am more resposible than that. so sir you shall have a long wait. confidentiality is paramount to some.

i agree some protection needs to be warranted to protect buyers, but you all buy pigeons with pedigree including you albear ... the seller could easily manifest their own false pedigree, but i agree with the protection idea, its a good one, but the best protection at the end of the day is... keep your money in your pocket !!! and does the seller not need protection also, from people on witch hunts , calling for their heads so to speak, protection from insults and a baying mob calling for all sorts of action and details that should not be advertised on the internet. or does that not matter that people with familys and who are hard working try to bring to other players and fanciers bloodlines otherwise beyond the normal working man. oh no the baying mob led by certain individuals persistantly harrasing people into giving details of address and other personal details on the web.. of which i am sure is against the law in this country, and making derogatory remarks about ones character and calling them a lyer is also defermation of character and can lead to legal action against the accuser !!! yes buy all means protect the buyer but protect the seller and i refuse to give my details over the internet to also protect my family . my word is good and interity is in tact to those who know me, others will decide for themselves who is trust worthy and who is not.

very good article, i bought a pair direct from dean in 1991.. blue female and a son of goede vale. they did nothing for me. they were getting beaten by my family of meulemans and janssens , but i may have bought 2 duffers as they say. but deans pigeons are fantastic . i would only go to Dean Pallet or Bert Hession if i wanted Staf van reet pigeons or Staf himself... sprinters..... I think I have good ones !!
