that really does tell you something maybe a lesson to be learned its called patience id love and might even try it with a few , put it this way some birds wattles are not even grown fully until ther 3/4 years old ,seems when reading old books the old hands did have lots of patience not like many today, a lesson to be learned maybe.

iam nearly sure they wer at belfast show last week they always come but as i wasnt there due to work commitments i cant verify that but if required i can find out if any one wants to know.

mine open hole 24/7 and very street wise the hawks cant catch them and iam being serious their to streetwise this mite sound silly to some but iam tellin the truth they also react to every bird sound.

perfect something should come from them, kirkpatricks are far to inbred rolands arnt probably a good cross anyway iam tryin the cross of jan ardens / into the kirkpatricks and it should work, time will tell if your kirkpatricks are from louella ther inbred you can be sure of that and if you keep them pure they will go down like snow of a ditch, but i think kirkpatrick/roland would make a good cross i cant see why not. i used to hunt dogs and when i wanted speed into them i crossed a greyhound into them and when i wanted just stamina i crossed working collie into them i worked with the lurcher dogs at one time but not now so good luck with your cross and let us know how it goes.

build yourself a good big avairy let birds access it each day to bath etc that should keep them in good nick and let them stretch their wings i know a lot of people lock them up all winter and it doesnt seem to bother them they still race well enough but with our now changing climate its hard to do when we get some better winter days than summer days so really a good avairy would help but sayin that maybe if the ones i know let them out in winter they would do even better ,just a thought.

very very well said rooster i really think that is the most important i could write a book about how many dishonest people involved in this sport and growing to many looking a quick buck nobody should have to buy pigeons people should swop younsters much like years ago.

my bro has two pair from louella bought this year for stock there mad as hatters but he will breed some off them next year and try them they are 2/3 year old and handle not to bad but nothing really special but time will tell they wouldnt be as nice a pigeon as some janseen familys thats about all i can tell you about them.

impossible would never work ask a vet this question give him a good laugh never heard so much rubbish ask your friend would that work on dogs as well i really dont know were some people get their info from tell him to get them tested after he does that then see what the worm count is.

sometimes pigeon racing is only as costly as people make it have them preventitives are not needed expensive corn again not needed to many birds again not needed think quality and source your feeding eles wer same as treatments etc it really is simple if you have your own transport and exsess to the internet.

ivomec does work but get it off your vet they will measure it out for u its good stuff highly reccomended use every 6 months and you will never see a parasite on your birds but keep it in the house not the loft.
