I prefer first thing in the morning,first light.(before going to work)Before the heat builds up and Percy can get some height. I have trained in the evening as well(after work),which it may be getting close to dusk. At least this way they rush home to roost for the evening,no messing about. Hope this helps !

Have you any stock flying out ? As this would help,like you say you've ticked most of the boxes. I'm sure when they are feeling hungry they will get the idea of a new loft!

We're the birds paired up ? Sitting ybs ? Did you let both cocks and hens out together ? Or lock up hens ? Did you keep them on the hungry side before letting out ? Would have thought with having access to aviary they could have had a good look around though. Any more info?

I've only put my birds down a week ago,still plenty of time to breed a young bird team mate.And they only no home as your loft.So easy get a team together to race yb team. Good luck and I'm sure you can manage it,any problems put up post mate.
