  21. Hi folks some advise please yearling cock paired with hen laid first egg last night been in box most of day.while she was in box he's started driving at another hen and she's responding to him.Put that hen in nest box with another cock with nest bowl turned over.this yearling cock then trying to get to her.Even though he's got his own hen,she came out to show herself to him.Had to put him in another nest box to leave this other hen alone.Do I put him back to his hen with egg,or what ??????
  22. Cheers guys going to try locking cock & his hen nest box,see how other birds get on.
  23. Cock and his hen laid eggs, but were not interested on sitting on eggs after second egg gave them 2 days then took eggs away. All my birds are yearlings would this have something to do with it?So hoping next week might get more eggs, and hopefully sit this time.I reset the shed up putting more box perches up so he could not see other birds as easy which I hope has helped?Any thoughts. This cock bird father has won regular, especially on bad days for racing, quite a character as well very vocal all birds are Van Loons. It's my first season back only got 3 pairs so was hoping to start breeding early to build up a team of y/b.
  24. Got myself a big yearling cock who has paired up with his hen,but won't let anyone else move around loft.do I lock him and his hen in their box?Or put other birds in boxes.Advise or tips welcome.thanks
