Heres a story for ye When I visited the Blacks of Dromore Davie told me about a pair of identical sister nestmates. One was always stock and the other was their main fancy for the race(Think it was Dinard, but cannae mind 100%) Davie was busy on the day of basketting so his brother sent the doos, think there was 11 of them.Anyway he sent the wrong sister-the one that was a stock hen and had never been in a basket in its life, leaving behind the fancied bird. As you can imagine Davie wasnae too pleased and expected never to see the hen again. The race was a hard one with something like 20 on the day of lib,the Blacks clocking two on the winning day.The first bird into Ireland the next morning was the identical sister hen in her first ever race
