The race control team are a joke Alf as they obviously got it wrong. I was driving down into the North of England on Sunday morning and it was a complete shut out from around 40 miles North of the border until I arrived and nothing changed until Tuesday. All this was forecast well before the weekend and I'm sure if you'd seen the weather conditions that I witnessed, then you wouldn't have let them out to exercise around the loft in that never mind liberate from Buckingham. We've heard the excuses before at meetings, eg looking for windows in the weather.... well there were no windows there to take.... they got it wrong again big time.

Sorry Stevie, got to disagree with you on that one. There were no mistakes made on our side as we never did anything. All we ever tried to do was keep the club going which the other guys knew about, and probably knew that because of that, they couldn't get the two thirds majority that they would have required to dissolve the club under SHU rules, and guess that's why they did what they did. I do agree however that it is a sport that we should all enjoy and personally do enjoy most of it, which makes it all the harder to accept what has happened, considering that one of the guys in question was accepted into our club at a time when no one wanted him to be flying birds, and another one of the guys hadn't even flown a pigeon for almost 5 years. It's easy to say move on to things that haven't affected you as I'm sure we have all done, but when situations like this arise it's not so easy to put it to bed. As you say the racings only a few weeks away, hope you have a great 2018

Thanks for your comments Stevie though I find it strange the man in question needs other people to answer for him, he never seems short of things to say normally. 1. The club you say I wouldna send my pigeons with, is a club I couldna send our pigeons with due to personal circumstances changing just as they have changed this year and once again we have to change what we do to get the birds away. In fact the man was asked several times if he could change what he did with the help from other club members but declined. "FACT" 2. My partner turned up for the first meeting that never even took place. "FACT" 3. We spoke to the owners of the ground who stated that they had no problems with the clubroom being where it was and were in fact as surprised as us when it disappeared. "FACT" 4. I still have a copy of the advert for the sale of the clubroom on Gumtree which has the person in questions name and phone number. "FACT" 5. Yes, we still have assets that belong to the club because that's what they are "club assets", and as the club was never folded within SHU constitution rules that's where they should remain. The Fact is Stevie we did nothing wrong and even had to get the club ETS system returned through Unikon who struggled to get it returned from the man in question almost 6 months later.

Well we thought we would of since there hadn't been an agm for the previous 2 years when your pal was secretary before he just walked away without leaving balance sheets etc. Then after he had supposedly resigned and wanted nothing more to do with the club he then proceded to sell our new clubroom tbat was bought from money raised from birds donated from members on this website 2 weeks before the racing was due to start last year. There was never any letters sent out to fold the club as there were members willing to keep the club going. The SHU were informed all of these facts and although seemed keen to sort it out initially they obviously backed whatever he was telling them over the facts that we gave them. So what's the point? Our club still exists but nothing can ever take away what he did.

Dinnae think it's any of your business Davie, maybe you'd be better off pickin better "pals"

Get someone that used to be in your club to sell your clubroom without telling you and keep the cash. Inform the SHU that this has happened so they can do sweet FA about it. Take a day off your work to go and see the SHU about this situation. Get the member suspended from the SHU. SHU lifts the suspension for no apparent reason. Member gets off scot free to kid on he's racing birds. Well that's one way I suppose!!!!!

Aye, like the majority that have posted on here!!

 fckin belter, think a know who's been conned

That's the problem Stuart, the "MAJORITY" of Scotland didn't want Brexit, so it has to be sooner so we can at long last start deciding what's best for us.
-
That seems to be the problem "working together" as you put it! The guys down there have never and will never have any interest in what happens to us as long as they have control over us. As tiger says, if they'd be better off without us then what's the problem of a referendum? Things have changed from the last one that was a narrow victory for the "no's" spouting all their sheite. How can you call it a democracy when if everyone in the whole of Scotland voted yes for "anything" and half of London voted no then we are beat again, but just you keep on living the dream FREEDOM
-
Well dinnae think am gonna say Rangers are better than Dundee tae make up fir it

if there were more combine/amalgamation races or even just more joint convoying this would help the situation. Crazy the amount of empty transporters running up and down to the same area's at this time of the year. Joint convoying, joint liberations got to help the education of young birds also.

Got to agree with this post, any decent fancier will look after strays until they are ready to be liberated or picked up without tampering with any rings. It's not the cost of the ring that bothers us it's the inconvenience of having to get another re-assigned to the bird. Do us a favour guys if you are that desperate for an ets ring, please leave the one on the bird, give's a call and we'll send you a nice shiny new one.
