I'm feckin sure i widnae time a doo in for somebody still in their pit, i can think of several circumstances where i would gladly time someone else's bird, but in bed is no wan o them.

If you want doos about you just now, you could get latebreds and have them flying in and out. I wouldn't breed from them next year as they ,imo, would be too young for breeding from, but race them separately (celibate) out to about 250mls next year. In the meantime, you could arrange to get a young bird team bred for racing next season, from the local fanciers in Airdrie and surrounding area, where i can assure you there are many top fanciers racing into. This way you are in from the start of next year and can take things from there. jmo

I always used Colombovac but since it became scarce, a couple of years ago i went onto Nobilis. I vaccinate them in the nest about 21 days old, find it a lot easier at that time as they are injected before they know whats happening. Far as i know the manufacturers recommend it at that age.

Well you have to be realistic some times :D She will probably be in when i go back up to the lofts, just to make things perfect!!

I just got ma other 2yr old at 9.25am. Percy has had a go at him, but only slight damage to his feathers where it tried to grip him! That is 2/3 home, yearling hen still missing.
