Delighted for you and him Greg?, he might play for a truly mighty club if he apply's himself.???? Man Utd, who else? mightiest in the world

I've won every week until i go to the club, i take all steps necessary to avoid seeing anyone else's birds dropping in before mine, including putting my head in the sand Its the only BRIEF spell of pleasure i get most weeks

First thing you need it the requisite amount of fanciers (5) to form a club, you then have so submit their names and addresses to the federation, with a letter requesting to join the Fed. This would be dealt with at the Fed AGM. If all goes well, the fed will then register you as a member club to the RPRA/SHU/WHU or whatever your governing body is. SIMPLES You will also have to resign from your present club/fed before their AGM or you will be liable for the membership fees for the forthcoming year, on top of your new fed fees, got to watch the timing of the relevant meetings.

Thought that earlier post would provoke some discussion I hate the bloody things, and get frustrated when the same message is still there after the stated update time, though to be fair it doesn't happen too often. I think there are wee networks of fanciers all over the place keeping each other informed of lib times and i would encourage that as it creates a camaraderie between fanciers often from different clubs as Alf pointed out earlier. Onsite info also results in fanciers from different area's of the country wishing each other well, which in my opinion is what its all about,

I believe the Lib line to be beneficial to the organisation financially, and each one has its own reasons for needing the income from it, and it doesn't cost that much money. The pigeon sites have HALVED the income from the lib line service for almost everyone, this can only be negative in the long run. jmo.

I learned that the new stock i got over last 2 years are not as good as what i had previously On the bright side i learned i've got something special in my team On the darkness front, my yearling darkies never done a thing so will have to keep an eye on that. On the subject of feeding, the stuff i used in the 2nd half of the season is much better than that of the 1st half. I also learned that some men are no what i thought they were!!

I have 2 strays sitting in the hall at Newmains Club. SU 10 CA 1175 a blue ck Cambusnethan bird. Su 09 L 12889, 2010 latebred blue pied. NEWMAINS ring. These birds need to be collected asap, the club is open this evening after 7.30pm. The key for the hall is behind the bar in case you are unaware of that.

Lanarkshire are up in a WEST wind, no south in it

I hate Grizzles, but i verified a doo at Budgie's and he handed me the Gr ck he timed in Reims this year, it was a beauty, on the small side of medium with a Hard body and silky feathers, nice pattern to its markings and an outstanding pearl eye in a bold head with prominent seers and snow white wattle, everything in proportion with him. I have handled some very good doos this year who have won in the SNFC but the Grizzle Ck is the best of the bunch.

Were the fivers won last week??
-
Aye i know mate some guys are struggling bad!! See you tomorrow night mate.
-
Nice one Davy, i know guys who forget to take them to the club all the time, so a wee reminder might bring them to mind
-
Agree totally, races are won in the loft not the training basket. If their fitness is in question by all means train them but if not, concentrate on motivation, that's what brings results
-
So did i so hopefully our returns will be 100%, then i can get them all away for Saturdays race
-
Mine are out for 7.30ish and back out at 4,45 when i get in from work. When they are flying round the loft after wandering i let my latebreds out with them, don't let the later ones out in the morning so they don't go too far if they get separated from the batch, which often happens as there can be 4/5 fanciers around me with there's out too.
-
Seen one for the first time just last night, very smart item! but 6/7/800 quid it widnae be me, i could make a wooden one fit for purpose for less that 50 bar
-
Geraldy have a web site, look the price up on there. I got the head of an engine delivered to ma door from Germany for 20 quid couple of months ago, so it might be cheaper getting it direct
-
You could pm Davy Fleming, every chance he will have been given that info as he is the stray officer, worth a try
-
Fill your boots and send them all, they'll do 76mls no problem with the training you've given them
-
No counting ma chickens before the toss tomorrow but i've 41 to send this week. Otterburn (2) 79mls 709yds to me.
-
On the other side of the coin they will have had invaluable experience from it having come on their own. Racing is maybe just what they need to expand it further and win you a few bob in the process Just a wee alternative for you, its a LOOOOONNNNNG winter
-
Its a conundrum every year for me, and i've made some right blunders where stock doos are concerned, but no matter how many i'm left with there are still those who have to go. Example two 2yr old hens, both cracking looking birds slept out for weeks as yearlings but are the very type of doos i look for, size, handling and even nature so i kept them, They were no where near the clock this year and have slept out again, though only for one night apiece, but they have to go now as i would rather go and buy another 2 hens than keep them now because i now KNOW they are useless
-
Come this time of year i look to thin out my old birds, racers or stock, depending on performance or performance of offspring, when do you undertake this task or do you keep everything that is left??
-
In all my years i have never had a pigeon that entered another loft perform well after being returned in the stray basket or courier, so whilst i have used all means to identify my young birds, i really don't want them reported because i know they will go down the first time they come under pressure. I know there will be those who can boast of winning with these doos but my experience with them is all negative i'm afraid.
-
I think this goes to show you that it makes little difference how far you race them as young birds, i'm certain there will be many many more conflicting idea's on this, just like these two, yet both fanciers have found success with doing the exact opposite of each other??
