Stevie as you rightly say loads of good distance fanciers throughout Scotland all get their turn with an individual good pigeon at the time . For my choice got to be your uncle Dal ,for someone who each year breeds 30 youngsters trains them then disposes of what does not come up to his standards prior to the first race ,the remaining birds fly the entire programme and then compete from the national if he is left with 1,2 or 3 those are the birds that are wintered ,He then races those birds every week his national positions from 500 miles for as long as I can remember are outstanding 1st and 3rd open with hoddam dynamo springs to mind Not many fanciers in Scotland could winter 12 to 20 pigeons total and compete as he does Legend
