was told it only effects bop something to do with there blood group

Best to get some from a farmer friend ,no top fancier who applies it to back of the neck using a cotton bud does this every four weeks during the racing season ,also makes bop infertile i believe .
-
John the point i am trying to make is he was timing them on the shift with perhaps only thirty to forty birds being timed on the day ,from a convoy in those days of approx 7500 at the gold cup now that is a helluva doos behind you ,when derrick nordon was 1st and second open with anniversary girl and danny boy i think when i spoke to derrick that marking night he had approx seven away but everyone had a top ten open position from the gold cup CREAM COMES TO THE TOP no matter where you send them no matter about the direction the best will be at the front and the other 90 plus percent will be also rans

Dont see what the problem is with rennes the late jock alan from symington in the west section used to time them fun on really hard races nae blow hames ,was never a problem to him and others quite simply they had the goods and were very good at setting them up ,as for this east west argument john hodgson swears by training birds on line of flight eg from point a to b ,and who can argue with johns record
-
Best reply yet ,i think thats what our fed should be doing after all we all pay our money and not all can make meetings
-
Good point john, but your first one is still different because all the rest were behind you that makes it very special

Hopfully get mine the morra hope the postie disnae bend them like last year ,did get a cheque refund on a unclaimed nom for £1-90 gone tae cash it for blackpool anyone any ideas what could be on offer for that tidy sum
-
Sadly unless the law changes they will have us beat in five years no youngsters going to come into the sport to have there birds massacred sad but true
-
When we used to race the traditional points of rennes etc all sections got there share of winners this heading away east towards russia as steven points out is crazy ,birds having to cross over race routes of dutch and Belgian doos tens of thousands of them if wind strong sw can look for real bad races, been talking to local bop boys that i no and they are telling me with the breeding programme they have in place the east side of the country will be saturated in a few years because of the guaranteed source of regular food base (oor doos)

Blackpool have been playing some good football this season and deserve there points ,dalglish will soon realise again different story on the touchline rather than sitting in the stands criticising others
-
Better pigeons than any you'll see at blackpool, not seen jims pigeons personally but no the family ,was giong to say good luck with the sale but no need to good pigeons sell themselves
-
Top breeding lines there ,built new loft for owner of village lad and was privilaged to have handled such a wonderful pigeon ,la prima vera top racing hen of all holland fantastic performer
-
Would go with that answer as well john,my stock loft of distance birds they stay together all year and have no fronts fitted never get any problems all very contented, other stock loft with relatively new stock, fronts fitted and birds until after laying only let out in small groups when i am watching them then shut back up until i no all is well ,then all fronts removed easier for hen or cock to chase out aggressor ,have also found once youngsters have hatched put in second bowl for pair to relay and have had no probs jmo works for me

Good site with a good bunch o lads long may it continue

Main Racing loft 42foot x 12 foot 2x 8x7-6 yb sections 1x 16x 7-6 cock section 1x 10x10 cock section 10x 6 hen section on front main loft tiled roof 2-6 coridor with four bay window trapping sections on front with storage underneath access from passageway , 3x 12x6 stock lofts and aviarys leaving enough room for the washing line to take a pair o knickers
-
Would agree just like a derby winner got to be bred for the job As for Blackpool 100% not coming back with one
-
With the cost of feeding as it is i would say £20-£25 for a youngster and up to £100 for a really good old un ,38 years in the sport and never paid above £100 for birds direct of national winners and never once charged for a doo ,gives me great pleasure breeding good ones for others ,couple year ago west section winner who timed six on night from channel timed a yearling i bred for him was his second on night, bred a friend in our fed one he toped the fed open young bird race the one i bred him was home 5min before his winner wouldn't go in ,had all my best ones for free imo thats what the sport lacks nowadays

Think if you were to phone the shu they will put you right on this one ,am sure if one objects his decision will be upheld .
-
If that was the stall up the stairs on the right hand side as you went in did he no get them of the top o the tower the night before
-
Think i am right in saying steven that bird limits have to be agreed by all club members if one member opposes this ruling he can complain to the union and they will uphold his decision
-
When your birds are bang on line they come straight over top of me with sometimes less than a minute between batches i watch them with binoculars working there way up through the hills if they do not turn back within ten minutes i no all is well ,Good Luck
-
No am changing the subject lads but on the subject of penalties and being a Leeds fan i take my hat of to young theo walcott for being man enough and saying he took a dive looking for a penalty he even commented to the ref that it was his first attempt at diving he apologized to both managers and says he will never do it again TOP MARKS TO THE LAD WISH THERE WERE MORE LIKE HIM

Very good point some of the hardest working members in small clubs are the ones that sometimes only win a small percentage of prizes yet it is the same few that keep clubs afloat ,i would think personally the only people who are wanting to take the first ten to twenty positions are those who want to sell ,i was told by a very good friend from another organisation of people who advertised birds for sale stating they had taken all club positions from certain races he said what they did not state was they were the only ones that entered,i am very fortunate to fly in a small friendly club where if we take the first three we go home more than happy
