i used to shake the tin but noisy and unessary and doing a gary glitter 'come on come on ' impresion will make the neighbours lock the kids up and you wont be there favourate neighbour for long , when i was on holiday in Portugal the next villa raced and i was over the other side of loft and his birds trapped like bullets so i copied his whistle , i tried to talk to him but the language was a problem , but i know a pigeon in Portuguese is Baretta

i just pucker my lips up and blow , i whistle when im feeding the birds no bit of plastic that can get broken then next whistle may sound different it can happen start whistling whilst feeding when there young
