  1. Well if your getting beat you either up grade your birds get off your but and put work into them or quit by giving up , winners never quit and quiters will never win simple as that , most ets systems are been get by lottery grants and stuff now so for the many they will be free as for people taking 17 positions that would be fine give him the credit for all the cards but only pay out first 2 birds , club rules allow you to adjust things every clock gets a read out of all birds clocked and a velocity and birds can be edited from the end result , you cant change anything by quiting and i suggest the majority that are quiting are doing it as are of that mind set , better to quit and accept defeat than stick in there and change either rules or your methods or birds
  2. i have to agree that the rules on the use of ets are sketchy and realy need reviewing and made the same for every union , a trap is classed as part of a loft but to put the ets pad under the sputnik base would be classified as external but if you put it on top of the sputnik base on the inside or add a shelf and cover with some thin ply that would be acceptable as inside ( within the confines ), i dont have the ets at the moment but when i can afford it hopefuly before racing starts ill make my own trap up to accomodate it .
  3. Very nice RM Ardens sapper
  4. when moderating im impartial and following strict guide lines , as a fancier i have my own views
  5. I suppose you would avocate having one clock at the post office again and recruiting 5 of your local school best runners to run your rubber up to the post office , however these young lads today would want more than a bob and the best runners would go to the fancier who paid the most , i suppose the guy at the top of the hill next to the post office will win out of turn as your runners will be impeaded by the steep hill , yup this is how it was in the past , clocks and thimbles are the past , clock shy birds are the past the ets is hear its been accepted and your compeditors are going to use it just like the various methods to fly your birds you either adapt move with the times or sit back and grumble that you can't win because you havent got an ets , now lets see getting beat by ets and loosing and having clock shy birds , or having it and winning with birds that arent clock shy , if you want get a few tumblers and you can rubber them and simulate taking there rubbers off to give you that buzz , i know one thing the buzz soon goes been able to take rubbers off and been on bottom of the race sheet thats a fact.

  16. you would get blues, blue pieds and grizzles from the pairings looks like a nice bird to me , as for showing i dont know about what your show standards are over there im sure they will be several catogorys which you would get details from your fancy association
  17. old birds 16 pair on widowhood , ybs about 35 to 40 all natural
  18. add half a pot to the birds days feed add lemon juice and brewers yeast stir in and feed after one hour , i rarely feed barely although i know its great benifits but wouldnt hurt giving them wheat and a few beans / pulses , mine are on 18% maples 82% wheat
  19. after treating as you will know good bacteria gets depleated perhaps giving them some live natural yoghurt will help to regain the gut flora and balance the birds metabolism i would add some brewers yeast as well and add this to the corn , i dont feed maize at this time of year

  22. If you had your birds test then why didnt the vet treat them ? its ok knowing from which ailments your birds have but they need to be treated with products that work , a vets lab will test to see what the yeast / bacteria responds too and therefore illiminate the problem straight away , some drugs remidies may actualy give bacteria an ideal breeding ground to mulitply
