I spoke to Bernie on the phone last night to wish him all the best with his move down south. He certainly is a real gentleman, last weekend he travelled to meet a courier at 5:30am in the morning to give him the bird I bought in the last auction run on basics. He also gifted me a latebred from direct A&T Deacon birds. Both birds arrived safely to my door last week and to say I was well pleased is an understatement. Thankyou Bernie and I hope its not too long until you get sorted down south and have the birds back again. Take care my friend.

Thanks for those kind remarks. I am moving to Wantage in Oxfordshire to be near my grandchildren.I have recovered from my nasty spell in hospital a year ago. I will miss my Lanarkshire friends and with the demise of Lesmahagow club it was a sad time. I started in Burnbank in my twenties and am 70 next month. I was a bit of a gypsie and have many great memories of racing in Burnbank , Hamilton, Egypt, Peterhead (twice) Lesmahagow and most recently in the Clydesdale Mid week a great wee club. I will miss my nights at Clarkston winter shows a great bunch of fanciers.I will be logging into basics everyday and hope to be back a few times per year.I could not have managed the move without the great help of big Duncan and son and Jim Hannah. Hope you all have a good season.
