I use nail clippers don't cut so far back

the only way the bleed is that you are taking to much of,just nick the tips of the nails,to be quite honest I have never heard anyone cutting pigeons nails ,canaries and budgies aye,

Nail clippers here,I hold the bird,the wife does the cutting.

Never a problem. Mind walking on the cobbles / paving slabs every day would certainly do a good job.

Dont want to demoralise you John by painting there nails . All you would see was a red flash going over your loft on a Sat.

If you snap them with your fingers they don't bleed.

Aye... the price of the little boots too eh! Thinking of crossing a few with parrots ... so that they can ask the directions too lol

 

Now On a more serious note though, I have lined the back of the loft with Rubber and covered in thick foam, they trap so fast and hit the back ... any one know where I can buy little crash helmets lol :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Bang on mate , I find they start to get longer nails as they get older ,and once you cut them once then it's got to get done regularly .oh and also the top part of the beak , I've had them looking like a parrot .
