bullcock Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 how did you get on today,Not a feather here, very disappointed, the birds were spot on, they should have been doing about 50 - 55mph, but when time went on we knew it wasn't happening, they must have went the wrong way, not good enough on the day.

It was a big ask for them to change direction face the water do the distance and in a very small convoy. Well done to everyone who took it on.
bullcock Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 Yes, the National next, gulp, this fills us with confidence, lol.I don't know what went wrong today, no pigeon in that convoy was fitter or more schooled than mine, back to the drawing board.P.S. We have enjoyed the whole experience and well doen to all who timed and to all the people involved with making it happen.
tyson Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 how many have been timed or is it a secret
abbeypap Posted September 2, 2016 Author Report Posted September 2, 2016 No one's keeping count of pigeons timed. We'll know at clocks tomorrow
tyson Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 it would have been intersting to know how race was turning out
JonesyBhoy Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 Rename it the 'Masonic Open' Big secrets today... Was very excited to follow the race today.. Waste of time.
abbeypap Posted September 2, 2016 Author Report Posted September 2, 2016 From calls I've had folk were timing from just after 2.15pm. Not everyone has time to go on the Internet to post their times. Ours is on wscc.online live results. Don't think it's been a waste of time for those involved.
JonesyBhoy Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 Not saying it's a waste of time for people involved. But for outsiders looking in, not much interest or excitement being created. Surely it should be a 'big deal' today to switch people on to becoming involved in future events. Been quite the opposite IMO

Been quite the opposite IMOMaybe we just weren't aware of the interest. With time over the winter to plan maybe we'll get it better in terms of keeping others interested next year :-) live and learn
