greenbar Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Well done Andy double gold.great stuff .
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Well done Andy double gold for Great Britain, but a well done to all British competitors so far and still more gold to come with a guaranteed one in the sailing which finishes tomorrow just carrying on from where Sir Ben Ainsley left off,but two gymnastic gold was fantastic, all these athletes should get half the money off the so called rich professional footballers who get money for turning up win lose or draw, they should take a look at the athletes and give them a bow

Roland Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Time he was Knighted Yes he is a good tennis player, no doubt about that and probably will be knighted as he comes from good and well connected stock. But let's not get carried away here! There is, and has been, far more deserving who never get a mention or a thought even in that regards.

Walter swanston Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Andy Murray is the greatest sportsman Scotland has produced in the modern era.Ad has been said on here he will probably be offered a knighthood I can only hope that he turns down that tawdry honour which classes him alongside failed politicians and questionable business persons.
leslie24williams49 Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Started watching ANDY AT 9,OUTSTANDING MATCH AGAINST A VERY DANGEROUS GUY,WELL DESERVED GOLD FOR ANDY HE IS 1 IN A MILLION FAIR PLAY.

Get a grip of yersel Rolly, expletive remove we still talk about Henman *expletive removed* hill and he was a 2nd class player!!!
Blue Chequer Pied Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Get a grip of yersel Rolly, expletive remove we still talk about Henman *expletive removed* hill and he was a 2nd class player!!! Correct Derek just sour grapes. Andy has achieved more in one season the Tim did in his entire career. Andy achieving what he has in THE greatest era for mens tennis there has ever been is even more impressive. If he played when Tim did he would have double grand slam titles by now!
Roland Posted August 17, 2016 Report Posted August 17, 2016 Whose Tim Henman, and what did he do? lol I think Walter sums it up a treat.Andy Murray is the greatest sportsman Scotland has produced in the modern era.Ad has been said on here he will probably be offered a knighthood I can only hope that he turns down that tawdry honour which classes him alongside failed politicians and questionable business persons. As for sour grapes etc. Well that old gripe and jib is as old as when the Picts came to your' shores and hold as little merit now as it ever 'Hasn't'.Yes as for 'Sour grapes' lol.... The knighted of the English far out weighs the rest of the British isle times over. AND THAT IS in ratio to populations, so no need for sour grapes here then. Indeed we will leave them in the mouths of the more deserving. I think achievement wise in tennis Andy's done as good - if not more than any brit since Perryman, and that's for sure. Though there was better before and at same time as him just to set the record straight regards Andy's achievement's. But first off the 'Knighted' has become a sad joke and for the old boys club - which Andy qualifies for. Before one mounts their 'Chargers' to come to defend against post not needing defending, perhaps one should look up what qualifies one to have the so - called honour! They will soon be handing them out with a package of cornflakes. The fact is that in many walks of life very many deserving cases are shunned, ignored, and been replaced with Hair Dressers, rich man's nanny's as such, with manipulative so called M'P's and money bought so called honours and old pals acts galore.
