eastcoaster Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Anyone else had much of this ?Went out yesterday and found a hen that was paired to my best racer dead on perch no outward signs of anything and certainly not fat , that is my 5th doo in five years ! This hens sire also died suddenly aged just 4 same age as hen so could be a defect in the genes , her sire was bred of Richard Combe,s best but now worries me she maybe pass on to the 3 late breds I took of them .
Roland Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 A few causes apparently .... one that I am led to believe most likely is Heart attack. Second is deep rooted canker. Autopsy may be worthwhile to be pretty sure I guess.
