Anyone else had much of this ?

Went out yesterday and found a hen that was paired to my best racer dead on perch no outward signs of anything and certainly not fat , that is my 5th doo in five years ! This hens sire also died suddenly aged just 4 same age as hen so could be a defect in the genes , her sire was bred of Richard Combe,s best but now worries me she maybe pass on to the 3 late breds I took of them .

A few causes apparently .... one that I am led to believe most likely is Heart attack. Second is deep rooted canker. Autopsy may be worthwhile to be pretty sure I guess.

had it twice both with yearlings

1st on I was moving from another section when I let it go it dropped dead on the floor

the other one had just been out flying went up to a perch then dropped dead onto the floor

this one may have hit something while out but I couldn't find a mark on it
