geordie1234 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Nearly everyday I contemplate it tbh I was even thinking about it last night even though I have had a relatively succesfull season (in my terms) The money and time involved is almost life consuming.... I even thought about jst racing a team of ybs in the future with a few stock pair and a small team of darkies I know of eight people chucking it this year up and down the country it's the same story. Bop aint the only problemCost is a big factor....when I tell my mates how much I'm spending each month they think I'm bonkers....When you think of the cost involved just to get started and competitive its frightning lofts, Ets , pigeon, fees, birdage so on so on so on Ahh the joys I've got 32 for this weekend happy racing guys lol

bibendium Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Never thought of packing in , might have to downsize in the future if finances change but there will always be pigeons here. I get a kick when even the late ones come home be it days, weeks , months after the races always impressed by the love of home and the determination shown by the birds to get here.
