paddymac Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Been looking for 3 or 4 but all down south anyone know of any available in Scotland :emoticon-0138-thinking:My mate phil (pigeon 82) used to work in the cleaning area in "Mc Donalds" Ian and got his and mine off the company that came to collect the waste grease and oil. if you happen to know anyone working at your local Mc donalds it would be worth a try asking
OLDYELLOW Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Most local farms will have these normally full of disinfectant , plastidone containers hold 5 x 25 kg sacks in them and also have a reusable sealing ring obviously wash thoroughly before using them . Failing farms a few end up at recyling centres
andy Burgess Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 food factories Ian , mine used to contain pickled tomatoes for Tesco ready meals . it took me all weekend to clean it , was well worth the £5 i gave the yard attendant .

Roland Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Ian, I wanted some too. Needed to fetch spring water 3 miles away. - It turned out unkempt and putrid - But I went to a local brewery. A small concern not a corporate kind, and was given 3. Hence used them to store the diesel in... very handy as prices rose. Actually went back last month for 3 more... I cut these in half long ways for pigeon baths. I mix up the feed in buckets now... 2 days at a time etc.
Ian McKay Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Posted March 9, 2015 Thanks Roland just want them to store food but they are hard to get here
