I keep Chinese Nasal Tuft Tumbler pigeons which I believe were one of the breeds that originally flew with flutes. You can google them and see videos of them in use, the noise is haunting! Lee
cemetary Posted February 17, 2015 Author Report Posted February 17, 2015 The guy at my work fly's pigeons, hes from Jakarta in Indonesia, not homing pigeons mind, I was having a chat with him one day, he said, Doug, we have a whistle for the birds of prey and we never lose anything, and we have plenty around. So he gave me 4 and that's why I asked on here what they was.

yeboah Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 i used them years ago still got oneI used them 20 years ago Davy,Sure they alerted the Falcons that the birds were out One got chased South once with the falcon it was on the local news people in Cumbria wondering what the noise was overhead lol Fixed them with elastic bands Did not deter the Falcons here But maybe they were Deaf like me

Easy to fit Cem.push blade between two center tail feathers put a race rubber on and secure with a piece of toothpick or match stick,I used them a few years back,still have them somewhere.
