Fully agree The number of lucky ones left for the final race sadly will be a very small fraction of the initial entry
C WRIGHT Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 the birds are well trained and in tip top condition they arent asked to do the imposible just there job as a racing homing pigeon and like all racing whether it be pigeon racing or rally racing no one knows how it will go until its over like i have already said i have visited the loft and they are 1st class the lofts and aviaries are spotless 1st class the owners are polite and friendy 1st class the compitition is hard 1st classthe event is run military syle 1st class the birds are from the best proven lines in the world 1st class the birds are a picture of health /happy and content 1st class this was one of the bussiest topics last year and i expect it will be this year again lets get behind the guys and doos competing in this years events look forward to reading the out comes and results daily keep up the 1st class work wulldon

JOHNSEE Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 I agree that this race is bad for the sport,going by past results and returns it is more for the ego of those fanciers that can afford to enter birds,I see very little evidence that this is a race where good birds come to the fore, but birds sent to suffer the stress of not making it home from relatively short distances,In my opinion this race does nothing to encourage members into our sport and is infact a very bad advertisement for pigeon fanciers and the sport in general....JBC/..
