frank-123 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 ok frank thats me finished with it Ok John me too.
Big Davie Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 dont think you did davy whats you point ???????C'mon Tommy, all I'm saying is you can't moan about non members being on Lanarkshires transporter when you have done the same thing yourself, just like I have when it suited me, to coin a phrase used earlier on this thread, what's good for the goose has also got be good for the gander, anyway the bottom line is that the members have decided they didn't want it so that's it finished for this year, however if the sport is to survive for another twenty years then sooner rather than later amalgamation of clubs and Feds will have to happen as I reckon if you took the average age of fanciers currently competing then this would be around the sixty mark which means half of them won't be around in 20 years time and that's probably a conservative estimate.

Big Davie Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 davy we are talking bout lanarkshire fed and west section try sticking with it .i will put that proposal in next year and let the members vote on it. we are nt in need of any new members yet you and i know that Tommy, the title of this thread is Lanarkshire Fed Proposal for Boundary Changes and that's what I am debating, as I said earlier my view is that this change would not have had any effect on the west section and would have tidied up the existing boundary for all fed sections which I will stick with, so I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.
Guest bigda Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 would like to put some in the lanarkshire fed up to speed the distance from Eyemouth INTO THE WEST IS AS FOLLOWS EAST KILBRIDE 80 MILE CAMBUSLANG 78 MILE BLANTYRE 75 MILE IF THE BIRDS COME FROM THE EAST AND THE DISTANCE FROM EYEMOUTH TO KIRKINTILLOCH IS 79 MILE NOW WHY WOULD THE WEST BE AT A DISADVANTAGE HERE

Guest bigda Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) why would any lanarkshire old bird pigeons be near eyemouth when racing east or west route. if they are bin them WELL THE GUYS IN THE WEST SAY THEY COME OUT OF THE EAST, AND IF WE HAVE PREDOMINANTLY WEST WINDS WHERE ELSE WOULD THE BIRDS COME FROM, AND ALSO AS THERE ARE 3 MOUNTAIN RANGES THAT THEY HAVE TO COME ABOUT, EAST UP AS FAR AS EYEMOUTH LETS THEM TURN IN TO HEAD FOR HOME ON A LINE NOT SUITABLE BUT THE BEST THEY CAN TAKE AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE BEST WAY TO AVOID THE HAWKS AS GOING THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS AREN'T AS SAFE AS IT ONCE WAS AND AS IT HAS BEEN PROVEN YOU ONLY NEED 1 EYE IN THE EAST IF YOU RACE THERE INTO THE LANARKSHIRE 1 EYED DOOS DON'T MAKE IT HOME Edited December 1, 2014 by bigda

Henrik Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 I,ve looked at this map and I beleive that the SHU a few years ago passed a ruling that all Federations had to have boundaries defined using longditude and latitude, not using a black marker on a map, so if this boundary change had been passed the SHU woiuld have to have ruled it out of order. Mibe I,m wrong but I dont think I am
