Advice On New Felt

Put new felt on loft roof as having a lot of problems with wet floor when its wet outside, before felt was laid I put 2 layers of polythene sheeting on then felt on top have I done right or wrong

when I repair any of the buildings at the stables I always put a thick layer of polythene under the felt

Thank You for the reply, the reason I asked was because I told someone what I had done, and they said it will cause more problems as the polythene would sweat

ive not placed polythene beneath the roofing felt . i wouldnt choose to either to be honest . if i couldnt do a competent job of felting , i would get somebody else to do it .

Proffesional roofers never put anything under felt.

BEST INVEST IT THE TIN SHEET JOB DONE OR THE CORRUGATED FELT SHEETS

I think your prob is the polythene wood on roof needs to breath .

Buster had the same prób as u płace flooded when it rained ,got box

Profile sheets this year ,what a difference bone dry ,which is a must

your right wullie cant beat the tin sheets for a flat roof m8 was forever trying to seal cracks and leaks when i had the felt roof not had to get on to the roof since getting the sheets a few years ago
