I take it every club in our fed received a letter about changing the route for y/b's back to the east of the country. What are the Lanarkshire members thoughts on this? I for 1 would welcome the route to be changed back to the east side of the country and over 50% of my club members think the same as they all signed the form tonight to call a special meeting for same!

east or west it does not matter you still have got to have the pigeons to do the job .I for one could not care less keep the race points the same as agreed for this season anyway . :) :) :) :) :)

A very wise move by the Lanarkshire fed, although the obs havent been totally disasterous, the ybs would be a different story.GUARANTEED

Young bird races down the east have not been to great in recent seasons either. I think we should stick to the current race programme and then make a decision for next season ,its all about trial and earor and unless we try we will never know.

Why not go down whatever coast offers the best weather each week.

Seems to me its all chop and change anyway

East coast man myself  right enough

Happy days

The suggestion to go to whatever coast offers the best weather is, in my opinion, one of the most logical I have heard.

It wouldn't cost a penny as we are already measured for most race points anyway.

that would be great if you could guarantee the weather at each site on a specific day , but how can you go to one side of the country and if the weather turns out bad then do you rush the birds across country to another site, good idea in theory but totally unfeasible

I think it's pretty practical given the accuracy of present day forecasting. Within reason there are weekends when it will not be possible to to liberate in certain areas. Under these conditions we need to look at alternative sites.

It wasn't my suggestion but perhaps a bit too progressive for pigeon fanciers.

present day forecasting is as inaccurate as it ever was despite technology

Many a Friday night pigeons are put in baskets knowing full well there will be no race in the morning.

Seems to me it would increase your chances of a race by 50%.At least we would have an option.

Most races are held over before lunch time Saturday,so  whats to stop them changing coasts and going to better weather for a Sunday morning Libiration.

The simple answers are very often the best, however they are rejected to easy, because they are simple.

Lets here your thoughts please.

EVERYONE THAT ATTENDED THE RACE PROGRAMME MEETING VOTED TO GO DOWN THE WEST, THE ONE THAT NEVER VOTES WAS NOT THERE IF THATS A BETTER EXPLANATION
