Guest bigda
dont know the guy but thats the way forward danny iam not haveing a go as fairplay says you have to start some where and maybe the trans.commitee are just there to set it all up but i just thought that haveing someone that realy knows the job would be a move in the right direction all the best with your task thanks frank, when we are going down the road and you need a lift we will help you out hopefully you will be self reliant
VMS
Wake up guys,Lanarkshire does not have enough money to provide transportation for the whole fed.Best case scenario would be 1 transporter with a trailer with another to be added in 2 years time. But that would in turn start the argument which clubs would be on the new 1. Guest pigeonguy147
bigda here is a fact i have the utmost respect for douglas telfer but correct me if i am wrong 3 years ago douglas spent a very long time putting facts and figures together just the same as you are doing now just to get it kicked out so what makes you think you will be able to change the minds of the people who hold the purse strings
Guest bobbyg
Frank you are 100% correct. I know for a fact that Gareth and Vince Hendry with others have been taking advice from both Willie Johnson and Gordon Geddes over several months and have all the facts and figures to hand. Guest bigda
as i say i am getting fed up saying on here, we do not need to do any thing but get wagons made ,to suit the standard flat bed truck we have never seen the money so going ahead with the building of it and working it out nothing stopping that, plus some sales 2 members out of each club arrange a gold ring scheme, some raffles, breeder buyer race names in the hat 50/50 for fed transporter
ALF
THINK IT'S TIME FOR THE FED TO GET A GOLD RING RACE UP AND RUNNING AS WE COULD MAKE SOME MONEY FROM IT PAYING OUT 50% OF WHAT WE BRING IN I REMEMBER THE GREENFIELD CLUB GOLD RING RACE A FEW YEARS BACK USED TO PAY OUT 2 GRAND TO THE WINNER AND THAT WAS THEM ONLY SELLING RINGS TO THE WEST SECTION MEMBERS
Guest bigda
yes i would go with that alf, i have heared it from a few fanciers on here they would like to do that also, we could have a no limit and could be open to outsiders sharing with club members as if there is no limit on rings they could buy one from wee mac ;D ;D ;D at a £10 the prize money would be good

Guest bigda
would it be fair to have it on the third young bird race that way you would be giving allot more fanciers a chance that they had the bird to go to the race or the first race as it doesn't relay mater as the prize fund will not get any bigger a £3000 purse could pay out the first 15 at £200 20/1 yer money or what every you decide

john short
The Midland fed would be a great fed m8, if they went east but they persist in going down west and always get roasted by percy. derek,i think you are right to have an opinion however i would have to say that according to what i see on this site, there are many feds that get 'roasted' every season.i have flown in the midland fed for the last two seasons and i personally don't think my losses are any worse than fanciers from other feds.at times i feel you are a bit on the negative side with regards to the midland fed although as i have said you are certainly entitled to your opinion which i respect.john
frank-123
probably easier just for the fed to wind down give the money back to the members then we can all join glasgow and south lanarkshire because they were forward thinking a few years back :-/

I competed in your fed for 4 years winning the John Donald trophy and fed trophies every year, in fact I was leading the John Donald going into the yb season when Kirky pulled out to get convoyed with Lanarkshire. Now that statement itself tells you how the returns were, especially with ybs from 2004-2008. I would still be with Midland fed if it went east.Just ask the likes of Tom Corrie, who has experienced the difference going down the east with Lanarkshire. Lanarkshire fed has been at the cows tail with progression in recent years ,E.T.S for example.
