eastcoaster Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Took 16 widow cocks & 10 national candidates to carnwath on friday at 5 pm it was a lovely night , you know what's coming ! Got home all widow cocks in the loft but only 2 naturals , 4 missing over night 1 half wing out .Up this morning 1 home ripped open he was 1 of my 2 hopes for gold cup and the other is missing , sick is not the word I have brought them on slowly only giving the odd race and on open hole thinking this could in some way help them become street wise .I know you all hear this all the time but not in a good place at this moment.
elanco Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 It's certainly getting bad, that's for sure but stick in there.
walterboswell59 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 sickening m8 and i dont want to kick you when your down or sound like a smart ass but for the benifit of others you commited the three cardinal sins in one one we know percie is every where but you trained from the lions den carnwath areatwo never train on days when your birds are the only birds in the sky and three dont train alone if percie is about it yours thats getting hit ive been hammered doing all three so dont do it any more its asking for trouble i know this will not help you but it might help the novice i hope they turn up for you eastcoaster like i said not trying to be a smat ass but now we have to think of every angle when training our birds m8
Guest GAV Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 I know birds have to been trained and they have to fly the gauntlet from bop, but is it better to release birds 1 at a time rather than all at once, would be interested to hear everybodies thoughts on this 1, and eastcoaster really feel for you m8 hope you get your birds back atb
THE FIFER Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 maybe releasing then in small batches could save the bunch getting scattered etc,

You didn't get it wrong Colin, you didn't make any mistakes at all. expletive remove, your only training your birds like everybody should be able to do. The only mistake ever made is every ku nt putting up with this onslaught by the BOP. Hope yer doos turn in m8.
walterboswell59 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 ok ive said what you should not do imo so only fair i tell you what you can do to try and avoid getting hit if you can train in van or with the fed theres safety in the batch you will still get hit but not as offten and a much better chance of it being someone elses bird that gets taken or hit if you cant go with van or fed go up on days that these vans have been training better chance of percy being fed already and another good day to train for birds that have not been to the race is a saturday just after the race birds get home safer for the same reason good chance percy has been fed on some other poor buggers bird harsh but this is how we have to think now hope this is of some help to someone
geordie1234 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 It's your donald duck mate end off... fk ppl get hit at their own lofts
Delboy Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Wattie, Colins been in the top 5 Open in the SNFC, plus hes only moved through here a couple of years and been 2nd west section Maidstone. He knows the script.
walterboswell59 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 like dell said you did not get it wrong colin we have all done it m8 and im afraid luck has everything to do with it dells right not enough guys willing to help stop the problem a few years ago i was 8th or 9 section eastbourne national i was scratching for something to send to the gold cup and this bird was sticking out a mile but had not been out since he scored and thought a few tosses and he will be bang on but did not fancy going up the road with one bird incase it got taken so i picked out 8 monkeys to go with him thinking percy would get one of them if it struck wrong first toss lib the 9 birds got home one hour later the 8 monkeys landed and the good cock was missing never seen him again was sick as a parrot even when you think your doing everything to increase your birds chance of getting home you can get it wrong m8 now think i would have been better single tossing him might have sneaked through but thats how it goes luck is a big factor no dout about it

He knows the script.im not saying different dell but he still took a big chance and payed the price think the man knows that him self self preservation now derek we have to have the thinking cap on all the time now cause soon as we make it easy for percy he will be take advantage never fails we have all done it m8 and feel sorry for colin but it could have been even worse we need to make it as hard for percy as we can expert or novice or we will be left with nowt
