Thanks Andy the reason I am asking is I noticed its only 144 from Ripon to Edinburgh I am 246 mile from Ripon up here in Fraserburgh I am also 132 mile from Arninston so there is 20 miles missing someplace if Edinburgh is only 10 to 12 from Arninston strange is it ?

Try taking a straight line from ripon to fraserbourgh then a line from ripon to edinburgh you will find your line well out in the water if you were to measure this distance from edinburgh to were your line is i think you will find your missing miles
