PIGEON_MAN Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Thought it was a rule that only the manufacturers could replace them or was that just a recommondation.
Ian McKay Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Thought it was a rule that only the manufacturers could replace them or was that just a recommondation. We are not in the RPRA :emoticon-0138-thinking:
hawked again Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 We are not in the RPRA :emoticon-0138-thinking: Perfect answer Ian!
jake12 Posted April 5, 2014 Author Report Posted April 5, 2014 Thought it was a rule that only the manufacturers could replace them or was that just a recommondation.I think that the Scottish fanciers feel they have put enough money into UNIKON`s bank account, in fact probably a lot of English & Irish fanciers are of the same opinion. At £70:00 for a battery that can be bought for a couple of quid it`s daylight robbery IMO. Many thanks for the reply`s. Allan :scotland:
C WRIGHT Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 you better believe it sent my base station away to get looked at as it was believed damp or batteries over 200 quid and 30 quid post had better seals from the mafia
PIGEON_MAN Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 We are not in the RPRA :emoticon-0138-thinking:I didnt mention the RPRA, wasnt sure who had recommended or made it a rule if anyone even as.
Dooheed 5 Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Payed £100 to have both Pocket clock and Base station batteries changed by unikon in my system last year plus dionostic check and clean ! also if batteries fail within 5 years they will be replaced free of charge !! Got system from my club for free when joined in 2007 as other fancier had packed up so in my opinion it is a small price to pay !!
C WRIGHT Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 aye great deal until they have us all by the short and curlies and have free play in market and price
Dooheed 5 Posted April 6, 2014 Report Posted April 6, 2014 Been told that if something go's wrong with yer system and ye need to send it to Unikon to fix and if their seals have been broken/replaced meaning someone else has been in the guts o it ! they will charge you £85 before they will even look at it ! imo after that they can say what they like about whats wrong with it and charge ye to suit !!

THOMPSON and he is making a fantastic job. Do not fall for the scare tactics about UNIKON. The Confederation have taken up this matter.
