Wilson Noble's Black Rocket ????

Correct

663 miles on the day of liberation after 17 hours on the wing, think she was 11th open Rennes(memory)

Strange I have only had three birds reported in the last 4 years. One by Wilson Noble and one by Walter Masson, the doos obviously know where to find a better home :emoticon-0136-giggle:

have a crack at this one ;)

Davie Blacks hen that was 6th & 7th Kings Cup

Need to make them more difficult :emoticon-0136-giggle:

She was a superb pigeon. 6th,7th and 176th Open Kings Cup. The 176th Open was when she returned injured, marking her retirement to stock- a blessing :emoticon-0157-sun:

Davie told me they had a training spot that would take the ordinary pigeon 55minutes to an hour, the 25 Hen would do it in 35. They reckoned this was because she flew over the hills as opposed to round them.

When you take into consideration you can count the number of birds to be twice in the top 10 of the INFC king's Cup on your hands, she really was a special pigeon.

Her grandaughter was 'Annie Mary'-4th and 8th open INFC king's Cup, and her grandson was 8th and 5th Open. Amazing line of pigeons. Whit a stock loft!!Don't reckon I am likely to see another like it.

My father and I have enjoyed racing this line of birds, although not with the same success of the great Blacks of Dromore :emoticon-0136-giggle: Our 18th open Alencon,39th Open Ypres and 68th Open Clermont can all be traced back to the 25 hen :emoticon-0157-sun:

One of the greats.

I haven't seen Walter on for a while. I used to love his stories about George Ritchie and have kept all his messages. World famous pigeon men from Fraserburgh :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Name this doo :emoticon-0157-sun:

Bob Whyte the other half of the Ritchie and Whyte partnership is a member on here .he comes round to my loft most Saturday,s to see the doos come home

Going back to Wilson Noble's Black Rocket I think that pigeon was clocked on another occasion from the channel 17 hour on the wing, believe it may have been their fed Avaranches race. ?

I envy you that John. From the photos I've seen-the birds could be described as 'class in a glass' :emoticon-0137-clapping:

This is the last one for mossgiel.

If you get it then I give up :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Think you've got me with this one Rooster :emoticon-0138-thinking: going to have a complete guess - Wilson & McShane, East Kilbride or Wands & McCardle ??????

It was a tiring search, but we've found a photo Mossgiel doesn't know :emoticon-0136-giggle:

It's Alan Darragh's 'McCartney Cock' :)

Sire,Grandsire,G Grandsire,GG Grandsire etc. to probably the most decorated loft in the history of the INFC. Bit of a doo :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Here is one of his grandchildren. He was 1st Open INFC Les Landes Kings Cup race in a north wind on a velocity of 891ypm
