A clubmate has just rang me to say he got home today to find his 2 alencon birds in the loft but neither had recorded on hi ets!

He then removed his pocket clock from the base and put his birds over the sensor, this time he heard the bleep and the base station confirmed 2 rings arrived. He then put the pocket clock back in the base and the birds were not there!!

It also said he had 4 birds marked when it was only 2!!

Alencon was the only race in his clock as the fed race was struck off and killed Sunday night?

A real puzzler??

Starting to lose faith as this is not the first problem we have had :emoticon-0138-thinking:

That is a nightmare Stuart. Had something similar happen from a yb race last year, my second bird would not register no matter what I did. It never showed on my print out but when the clock was struck off at the club it was there at the time it arrived. Strange indeed.

Why would you need to remove the clock from the base? and doe's it record trainers with the clock in the base?

I was at the loft all day yesterday so would not have been a problem as i have a manual clock set.At least i got them timed at 4 o,clock when i returned from work, just frustrating not knowing what time they arrived.

4 derek and the race had been cleared from the clock

He put the birds over the sensor with the pocket clock in the base and they did not record so i told him to try them again with pocket clock out to see if they would record.

I asked him to bring me his race entry print out and could not believe what i saw his set time was 23/10/06 14:08:53s

And his clocks time was 29/12/45 22:12:37s

And to top that off his birds were marked on 07/12/93 20:49:33s :o

What happened?? Goodness knows. I printed a strike report and all now seems okay

Davie, did you check you Battle printout as I suggested, to see if there were any inconsistencies with it.

Yes Willie, checked both entry and arrivals print out and everything is correct, also the bird that was still in the clock after you struck off Alencon in you,re base station has disappeared???

Sent my clock to the Fife marking station for Ancenis and my print out came back with everything correct, sent it through to Aberdeen marking today for Ypres and print out reads,Set time 23-10-06 at 14-08-53m, flyers clock 29-12-45 at 22-12-37,last marked 16-12-93 at 20-58-18,birds were marked 16-12 at 20-57-44 when they were actually marked about lunchtime today???? spoke to unikon today and they were inclined to believe the fault lies with the Aberdeen base station?

Posted

its no been set to proper time by doing manually or using a radio clock

Cant see how that is because every other ets printout at the Aberdeen clock station was correct.
