sapper756 Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 A couple of weeks ago I dropped my wee hen that was 64th Open SNFC Clermont last year, from Leicester, which I planned to send over the Channel again. On Monday morning I lost a cracking yearling hen from the loft, and yesterday I lost a 2yr old hen I had identified for the Channel this year off the loft. Is it really worth it any more? Old birds locked up now, so will concentrate soley on the youngsters I have, and see how it goes
Delboy Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Until we fight back, then its not worth it Brian, that's the truth.
alex young Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 It must be heartbreaking for you lads with bop problems, losing good pigeons on a regular basis. The last attack I had around the loft was last year, injuring a cock that had 4-1st and I was gutted, don't think I would be able to stand it daily.
Guest geordiejen Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 anger and frustration sets in,ive got 2 birds missing from my own back yard thismorning.been spooked by something not sure yet if its a bop.
Walter swanston Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Started the season with 16 yearlings and 1 two year old all experienced pigeons, now down to 4 yearlings. Now concentrating on my small (28) young bird team,a triumph of optimism over reality or maybe it's is insanity.
cemetary Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Until we fight back, then its not worth it Brian, that's the truth. Not a truer word said Del, but you no what, only some will. Sorry to hear that Brian.
