John Cosgrove has been timing in on hard days for as long as i can remember. Jim Cullen is the man to give you birds to breed you winners, including 1st Open SNFC races. This mantle used to be Geprge Brownlie's but IMO Jim is now the man to buy stock from.

Yet the national winner at Newbury got two latebreds and they bred the national winner.

You can buy the doos but you canny buy the dooman????

(taking nothing away from Peter Cairney)

Personally I think Jim Hannah pigeons should be included his record into the west is second to none

Ps has Peter sent across the channel yet?? 500 plus miles????

george jim hannah has been included by walter boswell, personally i think it is between

g,g rankin and jim hannah in the west that is, although when they had there good wins they were

not far of winning a national

i think jims best was 2nd open, if my memory serves me right i think gareth has 5 west section wins and jim four

Yeah cullen was 2 nd open tours but he has been in the top ten a few times

I think he has won the section a few times and also 2 nd section behind the rankin on a few occasions.

For me in this section you would have to include rankin, hannah , cullen and donaldson there is a few more I would go to for doos but too many to list.

Jim Hannah has won the West Region 7 times from France in the SNFC. Won't be too far off the record I wouldn't think.

From memory these are the open positions won by his region winners

2nd Open Sartilly

2nd Open Chenoise

4th Open Rennes

4th Open Andrazel

5th Open Alencon

13th Open Rennes

26th Open Sartilly

I'm pretty sure Gareth and his father have won it more than 5 times as well. Including one of the greatest performances within the SNFC-Champion 'Westbound'.

rooster have you got any of the stats for davy or gareth

In my opinion the questioner asked which loft was the most consistent in hard races and the answer has to be with absolutely no disrespect to those other fanciers mentioned, John Bosworth has to be the most consistent. No doubt Rooster will come up with facts and figures or at least I hope so LOL.

Theres a member on the site who will know Gareth and his late father's stats better than anyone :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Theres a couple who will know Davy's a lot better than myself as well.

He was 2nd Open in the hard Rennes race John Bosworth won with 'The Graduate' and he has won the west section twice in the last three seasons,he raced two Gold Award winning hens that I believe were grandmother and granddaughter?. Without raking through books at this time of night I will leave it at that

Depends what you call hard races Peter?

If your thinking along the lines of Messac 2011,Bourges, Niort 2012, Rennes 97 etc.

Jock King takes a bit of beating
