I`m also a bit miffed if every time someone tells us about bop attack`s they get taken down without any comment from the lads on site. what chance have we got if we cant comment on our enemy

ian the sencible stuff has been locked aswell guys were posting that percy took a bird today and locked straight away . Are we now in denial that bop are wiping out pigeons big time . It was posted to send you evidence to raptor thing with rpra with the evidence , but as delboy said a percy grabbed one of his and flew off , how can he send that to anyone .

you can post that your birds got a belt and where etc type of bop etc etc etc no prob at all its some of the posts about methods on how to deter bop that's the problem

 

 

the site is very busy at the moment so at the moment we just cant moderate every post

maybe we should keep our reports on attacks simple and straight forward but should not be encouraging any reports on how we resolve the problem.seems a very touchy subject at the moment.

thanks for your comments and understanding, I have put below a copy of the post I had to put up re this subject, this is an open forum so we must be careful what we post re BOP and cats etc,

we will have to change the way we post up regarding the damage being done to our pigeons by BOP, as some post re killing is just going to get the site into trouble, so please post up any info if you have had a bird attacked and photos, on the RAPTOR BOARD, but the thread will then be locked, hope you all understand and we get your cooperation, we all have our thoughts about those attacks, you should also send you details with photos if possible to the RAPTOR ALLIANCE which can be found on the RPRA website, thanking you for your cooperation. I posted the above on the TAMMY thread which was showing his unfortunate attack, so as to safeguard the site from getting into trouble for allowing posts about killing BOP, Myself and Ian were on til after midnight removing such posts, an open forum is not the place for such things, its not the posting of a members bird which has been attacked but the after posts which start about how to get rid etc, thats why it was decided to post the above, then for some unknown reason???? the site got bombarded with links from you tube, and the how to get rid posts started before we could get time to lock it, so I think we must now stop any links etc from you tube to BOP attacks, members can still post re any attack they have with photo's if possible, as we want to let all see, those will be locked , and they should also send the same to the RAPTOR ALLIANCE which you will find on the RPRA website, we all know the BOP are damaging the sport and we have our thoughts, but please work with us as we cant allow the posts in question on an open forum, hope you all understand and look forward to your cooperation,

after the above another thread was started by a member regarding freedom of speech, the following was the advice I received,

• Hi Archie, please feel free to post this on the "This is my view" topic about feedom of speech.
• It is true to say that we all have freedom of speech in general and one can air one's views whenever one wants. However, if by airing one's views one is deemed to be inciting or encouraging a criminal offence, then your conduct becomes a criminal offence in itself. So by saying "lets all kill hawks and here is how to do it..." you are committing an offence by encouraging or aiding and abetting an offence (the killing of hawks).
• If that conduct is aired through a privately owned website, then the owners of that website commit an offence by doing nothing to remedy the encouragement of a criminal offence, and they are just as liable as the original person for airing that person's views.
• I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say the hawk situation is worse than it's ever been, and at times all I want to do is come on here and rant and rave about it. But I don't want to see my actions result in any of the Mods getting arrested, computers seized or prosecuted because of something I post. I would also hate to be banned from the forum or at worst arrested myself.
• There are numerous posts about how to sort this out, including reporting all hawk strikes, signing the petition and preventitve actions. I wish we were allowed to protect our livestock on our own property but for now we can't. Let's just stick it out and keep going. Getting arrested, getting the site shut down or just giving up isn't going to help anyone.
• Just my opinion.

Fair enough that. Besides why post derogrative posts? Any one that wishes to do that has the means and know how any way. So is really not only silly.... but pointless.
